First visit with my Mum in 1972, My last 53 years later .
Every Sunday roast was bought from here even when Oadby had several traditional butchers shops Raggs was the best meat.
I got the Opal Fruits as a child waiting patiently in the queue with Mum - on a good day I got three .
I remember Mr Ragg Senior cycling on his delivery bike with the big basket on the front, wearing his striped apron. What a lovely gentleman he was, tipping his hat as he rode by. Good old fashioned customer service - a guaranteed smile from staff who knew your name.
The tastiest ham which will never be bettered anywhere. Your fillet steak was butter soft and the best I had ever tasted.
Thank you for the bulls eye I requested in about 1980 which you kindly sourced free of charge for my science lesson . I hid it in a margarine tub in the fridge causing Mum to almost pass out when she opened it thinking it was margarine.
