Pizza Mondo & Curry House — Restaurant in Oadby and Wigston

Ordered a couple of pizzas was told to expect delivery between 35-45 minutes. Called an hour later to get an update and was told driver had already left.

One hour and a half later still no sign of any pizza. Called shop again, apparently they cannot contact the driver "as he dosn't have hands free in his car"

One hour 45 minutes from placing the order the delivery driver finally arrived.

When I asked the driver why the order was so late his explanation was I've delivered multiple orders in different directions, I'm not aware what time customers placed their orders I just deliver closest first irrespective of time of order.

According to the driver he left over an hour ago with my food so I assumed the food would be cold, I opened it up in front of him and as I assumed it was stone cold.

After giving him an ultimatum either take it away or call up the shop and get the price reduced, he managed to get the price reduced. I reluctantly accepted the order as my children were extremely hungry. The pizzas were reheated in an air fryer and eaten. All I can say I hope the shop takes note from this episode and gets their act together as the pizzas weren't that bad and probably would have been spot on if they arrived hot...

Sometimes it isn't the most flashiest of places that is up there amongst the best. Pizza Mondo is a true testament to this.

I was introduced to this place by someone who likes to save their pennies and very cautious of where they go. In essence, someone who doesn't try anything new! So, I was surprised when they advised of this place and decided to give it a go.

The one option recommended was the Mondo Special Mixed Kebab.

There are quite a few variations when ordering but I kept it simple asking just for the chilli sauce and mint sauce along with the salad. Other options include garlic mayo and ketchup.

Be warned, this thing is huge! If you're exceptionally hungry you might be able to eat it all yourself...! Although it definitely can be shared. So you can ask for the kebab to be cut in half, to share or to eat later. I only managed half... Yep, I'm a lightweight! But, it meant I was able to have another attempt to devour this monstrous kebab.

It's a but pricey as far as kebabs go. At just over £7, at the time of writing this, but if you're sharing or eating two separate times its a decent price.

Strongly recommend this kebab, so give it a go and see...

This small takeaway was a “go to” for us for many years, however we have noticed a significant decline in the quality of food, service and overall attention to detail with food and service. Disappointing on the last several occasions, (we gave them the benefit of the doubt) with consistent overcooked food, delays in delivery, incorrect orders- not even considering that of an allergy!! and no interest in resolution or customer satisfaction. More so a throw out the food and move on with the next attitude.
