It seems Chinese food is a little out of fashion these days.. with the rise of so many other cuisines to choose from. If you want good Chinese food in Leicester....look no further, that's if you can get a table, it's very busy... I asked for a takeaway at first, but they only do one maybe two takeaways a night.. as they want focus on the restaurant. (How refreshing to hear) We managed to get a table for two at short notice and we were on a time limit as the table had been booked for later. The place isn't massive but it was full and lively... staff are warm & friendly. Sesame Toast & Spare Ribs for starters followed by King Prawn (Ming Style) and Chicken (Szechuan style) I have to say every course was cooked to perfection and ingredients are all quality. I doubt you could find better anywhere in Leicestershire. I highly recommend this place. Anyone who has read other reviews I written will know I don't always give 5 stars... only if...
Read moreI’m absolutely shocked by my recent experience at YumSing. While eating, I discovered a foreign plastic object — possibly a stick or nail — inside the rice I was served.
When I raised this serious issue with the staff, they blatantly told me it couldn’t have come from their food and suggested I wasn’t telling the truth. I kindly pointed out that there was a CCTV camera directly above our table and asked them to rewind the footage to prove that no one at our table had tampered with the food — but they flat-out refused to check it.
To make matters worse, they still charged me £100 for the food, showing zero accountability or concern. No apology, no investigation, and no gesture of goodwill — just denial and disrespect.
I left feeling disgusted, dismissed, and completely let down. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before...

The food was ok but I have had much better for a lower price even in London. The service was friendly except for one of the waitresses who seemed annoyed when we enquired about the extremely high bill at the end. Also we were charged £5 for some cheap tasting Chinese tea which has been provided free of charge in all the other Chinese restaurants I have ever been too.
Overall not good if you are looking for a traditional Chinese restaurant, perhaps ok if you are looking for something more English though. We were disappointed though as were expecting top quality Chinese food given the...
