Unfortunately did not have a good experience here. Customer service is bad... Went in 3 times within just under 2 weeks as the problem wasnt fixed properly! Had a cracked screen on iphone- this was replaced for £55 BUT only the top screen was replaced, not the LCD (which you have to have the whole thing replaced regardless of which bit is cracked). Within 3 days the LCD screen randomly cracked - i did not drop the phone, i did not bend the phone, it literally just happened in my hands. I took it back for repair and after the staff being very adament that i must have done something to the phone, they agreed to replace the LCD but at an additional cost of £40. I agreed as i needed a phone to use asap and they do it within an hour. 4 days later the LCD cracked again! Once again i had it in my hands and suddenly the screen just bled and went black. Back to the shop i went and the same old story of; i must have dropped it, or had it in my pocket and bent it, or i pressed the screen too hard...(which I'm sorry there has to be some sort of wear &tear on a phone otherwise why would you have one?!) anyway, they would not take any sort of responsibility for fixing the phone and told me it was going to cost me again. I felt that seeing as i had been in to their shop 3 times within 2 weeks and had spent £100 they should offer better customer service. I went in with my partner this time and the staff member i explained this all to seemed to not want to talk directly to me but to talk only to my partner... This i felt was very rude. I would ask a question and he would tell my boyfriend the response. He said he was very busy and i had to return the next day and he would see 'what he could do'. I refused to pay any more to them as they couldnt guarentee it wouldnt happen again.
Yes they might be quick at what they do but i found the quality to be awful and the customer service left a lot to be desired.
I then had to find another place to get it repaired and came across 'Timpsons'. A reputable company with good reviews. I spoke to the staff at Timpsons and explained the situation. They talked me through what needed to be replaced , they showed me the product they would use and were very open about their guarentee policy- which i havent yet needed! I decided that to have it completed properly i would have to pay another £95 and i havent had an issue since!
They did say that the screen, as a whole, needs to be replaced, no matter which bit was cracked - top or the LCD screen. You cant just replace one of them at a time. This i believe to have been the problem with the original repair.
I'm sure some people have no issues with this repair shop and their problems are easily fixed, however i felt the complete opposite and i just want to make people aware of possible issues that...
Read morewas put on the spot to write on here 😯 I was not even holding my phone...I'm not sure about any of this....originally very polite and helpful. .after my new screen went wrong through no fault of mine...I was rung up and told no physical damage (which I had already said) told replace it and ready next day...it wasn't because they were busy....was called again to say neither black screens would work only white one...which I found odd. finally went in today.. to be told it was physical damage!!! No it was not! but as a gesture no charge....which I was expecting anyway ,as my phone had started deteriorating after 2 weeks....no signal all the time...everything going slow then blank screen. Ended up buying a screen protector and phone protector. ....had phone couple of hours and started saying 'no signal '😢 not had my phone for nearly a week! Since having my phone back,I had pop ups through Google of naked woman!!!! And suggestive messages. 1 of which came up in front of my 4 yr old daughter!!!!😡...I have ended up having to buy a phone,as mine never worked properly after this store had it. I will not be going back here ever and would not recommend it!!! I DID NOT PUT THE 5 STAR RATING!!!ONE OF THE MEN IN THE SHOP DID USING...
Read moreMy iPhone has started to randomly turnoff and get restarted by itself, after initial diagnosis they told me that my phone has been exposed to water (which didn't happen) and its the screen that should be changed. The problem has returned after a week so I took it back and asked them to check full panic reports generated by iphone itself. At first they didn't seem to quite follow what I am asking, so I showed them that every time iphone senses a hardware problem it generates a report in Analytics. My phone stayed with them for another week and they asked to bring the phone back if the problem has re-occurred, which was the case. I took the phone back to them, and emailed them three full panic reports, this time my phone stayed with them for two weeks and they have told me that they changed the screen again despite the fact that clearly the problem is not the screen. So after almost three months, the problem hasn't yet been resolved. Having said it all, they are polite and treat customers...
