Arrived by train at Saltash station. The walk back across the Tamar bridge is as advertised at about 15mins, is a nice walk and provides some good views.
The visitor centre is well signposted, was clean and tidy. We attended on a day when there was a school trip there, although timed it just right that the group was at lunch.
The displays are pretty good, with a fair amount of history of the area and other designs for what became of the Royal Albert Bridge. There are a couple of bits from the renovation of the bridge and a bell from a previous ferry.

Very expensive Cornish pasties in Saltash😱. Was a...

There is free parking and it is free to enter the exhibition. There is a small coffee van next to the car park which was very busy when we were there. We combined the visit with a walk across the bridge and back. There are some fantastic views...
