Pleasant views of boats and over the river There are wooden seats and a grassy patch Union pub next door has outdoor seats There used to be flock of swans here. But current no feeding on grass policy may sadly have resulted in only 2 adults and 1 cygnet there October this year.Sadly missed birds There is a Brunel statue and a statue of local ferryboat lady. Also a large rusty sculpture with local memories on plaques Enclosed children's play train and carriages could do with coat of paint Photo on Wall by quay depicting soldiers setting of to WW 1. Further round under Tamar bridge there is board referring to local history at time of WW2 Free parking Flat area LA...

There isn't much to do here as such, other than stand in awe at Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge towering above you, which is precisely why my Son and I went there!

Apart from the bridge, there is The Union Pub (which you'd have to be blind to miss!), a small green area which has a life-size statue of Brunel, a few boats and a few houses.

It's quiet in the respect that very little happens till the pub opens, but with the busy Tamar Road Bridge right alongside Brunel's masterpiece also overhead, the traffic noise spoils any peace the...

Great this weekend because it was the Saltash Regatta. Crowds of people. The Waterside is good. Need to build something in place of the Old Waterside pub. Build in character with the old Waterside. We need a cafe or restaurant. If there is to be flats please don't make them holiday flats.we want the Waterside to be busy not dead in the winter. Make the Waterside somewhere people will be proud of and want to visit. The Ashtorre is a great meeting place and good for...

One of my favourite places in Cornwall, I often visit on my travels. Situated right beneath the towering Tamar and Royal Albert Bridges that span the river its a quiet area for a walk, sit or watch the boats go by, there are local pubs with restaurants, seating areas by the small sand harbour with amazing views. Saltash Station is only a 5 min walk away but beware its a steep walk back up! Isambard Kingdom Brunel s figure overlooks his handy work.

Where nature's liquid engineering is spanned by Brunel's mechanical engineering feat with impressive views upstream and downstream. Where children are allowed to play or just a quiet place to sit and watch the world go by.
