Royal Shawarma — Local services in Preston

Me and my partner found this little treasure on our way to the shop after finishing work late as we both work in a pub and thought we would try it. Absolutely loved it, the staff are always friendly and polite, food is always fresh and never a long wait. Always a good atmosphere in there and made to feel welcome. It’s also no where near as expensive as other places where you couldn’t get food as half decent as here. My boyfriend gets the chicken shawarma and I get the lamb (when it’s not sold out) he gets all the salad you could ask for and all the sauces and I stick with lettuce and mayo and get a chuckle from the staff every time. So friendly in there and such good service. You can also see how clean it is when you go in and watch them make the food which I love as you don’t get that in many places! I have been coming to this place for a few year's now, never felt the need to make a review, because the food has been consistently good!

However, in the last few months, I find myself more and more let down by the shop, with the meat quality being drier, and the service growing increasingly more rude.

Recently I was served cold food that was meant to be served to someone else, very passively aggressively, without being asked what salad I would like (like every other customer was prior to me and after me)

I don't know if it is because of my ethnicity or something, or if I have genuinely done something (being annoying by paying in cash etc), But as an Indian that is multi lingual, I also understood when they cussed me out; for seemingly no reason…?

Really messes with a customer's outlook of the staff, and establishment as me, my son, and some of his friend's also find some of the staff to treat certain customer's more aggressively...
