The newly restored memorial and gardens love fantastic. It is such an important part of Nottingham and a great visual reminder to the brave people who lost there lives in the two World Wards. The gardens are lovely to wander and around, take stock and seat on the benches to ponder. There is a statue of Queen Victoria. Visit all year round but looks great in the summer months.

Love this place. The new memorial they have put inside is wonderful. Open to the public every day. It's lovely to just wander round the gardens. Dogs are allowed in. Plenty of benches to sit and ponder. Looks It's best in the summer.

We love this place. Since the lockdown the council has made most of the embankment pedestrians and bicycles only. So it’s great to walk the dog, and visit the memorial. It’s a very moving tribute and we leave flowers every year to remember those no longer with us. The gardens to the rear are beautiful and well kept. There’s a statue of Queen Victoria and lovely fountains. Lots of squirrels and ducks, a very peaceful and serene place. Every year on remembrance Sunday there is a service held and wreathes laid.

This year they projected poppies onto the structure at night....

It was lovely to find the name of my husband's uncle. The lack of maintenance is very sad. There were weeds growing all round the site. If it was to be left to go wild then poppies would have been more appropriate. I'm sure it wouldn't take long to tidy up the memorial itself. It took a lot of time and money to create this to honour the dead of WW1 it seems a shame to spoil it for want of a...

We go to the riverside festival every year and it's always a fab day out 😊. Lovely grounds to walk around aswell as the usual rides/food stalls and arts and crafts marquees ..there's lots of activities to take part in. Never made it til the fireworks but have been told they're spectacular. The music stages are also great to go and chill by,lots of great live music! Would recommend...
