Disgusting customer service, went in to buy a vacuum cleaner which I had seen online advertised at £129.99 reduced from £179.99 decided to go instore to purchase as I needed the product straight away was supposed to be a gift.. went upstairs found the item in stock with a price label clearly stating £129.99 took the item down to tills to be told it’s £179.99.

I told her the price it’s labelled at another staff member went up to have a look I followed after 10mins as she had not returned, there were 3 staff members discussing the product and the label all slightly confused, she went on to say this is not the correct product even though they could clearly see the pile of stock piled under the price tag ‘ apparently the product code does not match ‘ she said i need to go speak to a manager, after a few mins she returned saying there’s nothing she can do the price is £179.99.

At this point I’m getting frustrated as surely the customer is right and the price displayed should be what you pay ? I asked for the manager to come out Sam came out to say this is the wrong product code and the item is £179.99 she spoke to me in a very arrogant and rude manner even went on to laugh in my face saying she is the store manager and that there is nothing she can do, I immediately started taking pictures of the products and labels they had removed as I knew I would have to take this matter further, I went back upstairs to take a picture of we’re the stock was displayed and shockingly the price label had been changed to £179.99 I asked 1 of the staff members that was upstairs she was nice and helpful and informed me the label had been changed but she didn’t know who had done it clearly she was thinking about her own job and did not want to whistle blow on the company’s and lack of management services, I then asked her ‘ who is Sam is she your store manager ‘ ? She clearly informed me no she is not the store manager the store manager is ‘ Steven ‘ I asked if he was instore she said come back down with me il see if I can find him.

When we got back downstairs the staff on the tills we’re adamant that ‘ Sam ‘ was the store manager and also told this staff member to return back to there department.

Customer service also informed me ‘ Sam ‘ was not the store manager and that she will see if he is available to speak to as he wouldn’t normally come out to speak to customers. A gentleman walked over to the desk moments later ‘ Richard ‘ stating he was the store director I informed him of the incorrect labelling, the manner in which I was been dealt with and that I was unhappy with customer service experience.

To my amazement he had no much better customer service skills then Sam or the other staff members I had spoken to he was 100% adamant that this product was £179.99 and he would not offer me any discounts and did not seem to think they were in the wrong, apparently I was the one been loud and aggressive towards him, and that he didn’t blame his staff for speaking to me in the manner they had as I was been loud, in front of other customers. He then took me back over to the tills to look at the product telling me you must have picked up the wrong one then took me back upstairs again to see the items displayed and then even tried to tell me I’m lying this is the correct label for the correct product even though I’ve just explained the label has been changed !!! I just felt humiliated, dis respected of my human rights as a customer and decided to walk out, as I turned ‘Richard’ made a remark about me asking the names of other colleagues that were present he was been provocative, sarcastic and instigating further confrontation. I left the store having undue stress, high blood pressure and breathing difficulties due to my asthma.

Always remember don’t just look at the price on the label also check it’s the correct product code that’s if you can find a product code on the product what a joke Curry’s !!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves !!!

During my visit to the Wednesbury branch in April, I had the privilege of being assisted by Diven, who went above and beyond to help me purchase a Sony A7 III Mirrorless Camera with a 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens. Despite the unavailability of stock in-store, Diven's extensive knowledge and willingness to assist with the online ordering process proved to be a game-changer.

What impressed me right from the start was Diven's profound understanding of the Sony A7 III camera. Unlike my previous interactions with two other colleagues at the store who seemed uninformed, Diven's expertise was exceptional. It came as a delightful surprise to learn that Diven himself is a highly accomplished wedding photographer. To my amazement, he even shared some of his recent wedding photographs, all captured using the same camera I intended to purchase.

Diven's vast knowledge of photography, coupled with his hands-on experience as a professional photographer, made a significant difference in my decision-making process. He patiently listened to my requirements and provided valuable insights on how the Sony A7 III could meet my specific needs. His ability to showcase his own work and explain the camera's capabilities in practical terms made it easier for me to visualize the camera's potential.

When Diven informed me that the camera was not available in-store, he promptly offered his assistance in ordering it online. His familiarity with the online platform was evident as he guided me step-by-step through the process. Diven's patience and clear instructions helped me navigate the website and complete the purchase with confidence. I was truly grateful for his exceptional support during this online ordering experience.

Thanks to Diven's guidance and expertise, I successfully placed my order online, and the Sony A7 III camera arrived promptly, exceeding my expectations. The camera's performance has been outstanding, and I am thoroughly enjoying exploring its features and capturing stunning shots.

Diven's dedication to his craft, combined with his exceptional customer service skills, sets him apart as a remarkable salesperson. His passion for photography shines through, and his ability to share his own work creates a connection that builds trust and confidence in the products he recommends.

I wholeheartedly recommend Diven to anyone seeking guidance and support when purchasing a camera. His extensive knowledge, genuine enthusiasm, and professional experience as a photographer make him an invaluable asset. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or a novice like myself, Diven's expertise and assistance will undoubtedly elevate your camera-buying journey.

Thank you, Diven, for your outstanding support, guidance, and exceptional customer service. It was a pleasure to work with you, and I am grateful for the...

Yesterday evening, I went to Curry’s in Wednesbury to collect a Kenwood kMix I’d ordered online. Simple click & collect, I thought. What followed, however, felt more like a sketch from Monty Python than a twenty-first-century shopping experience. At first, all seemed routine — my confirmation email said the order was ready. I arrived, joined the queue, and waited patiently. When my turn came, I gave my order number to the assistant, who disappeared into the warehouse. Minutes later he returned, empty-handed, muttered that he couldn’t find it, and promptly walked off to serve other customers. Then came another staff member asking the same question. I repeated my order number. He looked at the screen and, without hesitation, declared, “It’s already been collected.” I stood there, stunned. I’d been in front of him the whole time — who could possibly have collected it? When I asked how that was possible, he shrugged. No investigation, no apology. Just walked away. By that point, I’d explained my story three times, each to a new face, each seemingly unaware of what had happened before. A third member of staff arrived — thankfully, a helpful gentleman — who discovered that someone had mistakenly marked the item as collected. Relief? Briefly. Because even then, another staff member appeared, and I had to explain everything yet again before I was finally handed my mixer — forty minutes later, no apology offered, no acknowledgement of the ordeal. So here are my questions for Curry’s management: How can a system mark an item as collected when the customer is standing right there waiting for it? How can a click-and-collect process become such a chaotic relay between five different staff members, none of whom take ownership? How can a store send a collection confirmation before anyone has actually checked or prepared the item? And above all — how can a loyal customer of twenty years, both business and personal, be left feeling as though they’re being treated like a potential thief instead of a valued customer? I left with my mixer, but not with trust. And one final question — the one that truly worries me: if collection verification depends on the last four digits of my CREDIT CARD, how could someone “accidentally” mark my order as collected? Are my payment details floating freely across the shop floor?
