Having had a busy day, taking the dog for grooming, tackling a pile of ironing, trip to b and q to look for a new fire the time had reached 7pm and I was wondering what would be the easiest meal to do for tea. Then came hubby to the rescue, shall we have darnall fish and chips. Brilliant idea said I. It’s a while since we came down to Darnall fisheries we have been using Whitby’s fish restaurant for about three months. We decided on a large fish and chips each and a portion of mushy peas to share. Unfortunately there was no large fish so we had a standard cod each. This meal was delicious, I had forgotten how good their chips were, really well done and proper potatoes, and if a bit small the fish was very tasty. So well worth a visit if you get the munchies for fish and chips, but go early, they close earlier than most chip shops, and the price is excellent. The ladies like a bit of banter as well so this was a really good meal to be repeated...

Firstly, due to covid regulations i cannot wear a mask, i do have SEVERE respiratory asthma. upon entering i was pounced on with a very rude WEAR A MASK only to show my breathing inhaler they refused to serve me food. instead i purchased 2 large fish and chips from Krispy Kod on the bottom of Staniforth road, much friendlier chap served me. The ladies at darnall fisheries appeared to be horrified upon my presense. After years of supporting darnall fisheries with my custom and also that of my employees i have thrown in the tissue i shall not be entering the premises again and will be using other local Fish & Chip shops. Never have i been greeted in such an absurd manner. very poor staff and unskilled...

Have been to this place for years but never again disappointed by the disgusting service and discrimination off there staff, upon arrival I mentioned to the worker that I have asthma her reply was it’s okay your exempt shortly after a horrible old hag appears from the back of the store to tell me I need to stand out side as I haven’t got a mask, she then asked for proof so I showed her my inhaler on which she wanted written proof so here I was at the out side the front of the store been served like a second class citizens .... definitely taking my business to the other shops of...
