1)we went to the cinema for a nice day out and we booked the tickets online, we got there and went to print them off, however, it was not working. 2)we then proceeded to go and pay as told to by the manager at the till and we expected to be able to get in and get a tango ice blast. This was not the case! We had to give ID (which is fair enough) but I do not look younger than 15, I am 16 years of age. We then saw the manager saying to a boy that he wasn’t 15 and then he pulled out his passport which proved the manager wrong. I know this is part of their job but it wasn’t don’t in a good way 3) because we needed to show ID, we couldn’t get in and we were told to go to customer services (not specified) so we did. When we got there the woman was very polite and told us she couldn’t refund us as they had nothing to do with it. We went back to vue 4) we then got one of our parents on the phone to ask about the refund but the manager was adamant that no parent could talk to them.We got told customer services were wrong so we went back 5) at customer services we spoke to someone who knew more and explained everything, he took us back and the manager said that we were meant to go to VUE customer services IN LONDON ! Which shuts at 5 pm and she told us to go at 7pm which doesn’t make sense. 6)she Made us look stupid in front of the man from the customer services because we had been to them when really we had to go to London or phone in. But she didn’t say that (like I said when she didn’t specify) and we even told her we’d been to customer services. Did she think we’d got to London and back ? 7) we now have to wait till Tomorrow to get our refund when we could have gone in with no problems (again I understand it’s there job) or we could have got a refund and spent it on something else. Read moreI don’t often leave reviews but I feel the service has been so disappointing. We booked the VIP seats as it says you get more leg room and bigger chairs. This is not the case the only difference in screen one is that the VIP chairs are covered in leather and the normal chairs are fabric. There is no extra leg room and as someone who is 5’6 I had little room to stretch out so my friend at 6ft struggled. The chair in front was resting back on their knees and the person in front wasn’t too pleased they couldn’t recline.
The toilets had a really strong urine smell to them which also made the area outside the screens smell too.
I complained to Vue stating I didn’t think it was fair to charge someone more for seats that were not as advertised and asked for a refund. I was told to go to the website and then had difficulty in getting in touch as the response was always a blank email. After that issue was resolved and they were able to reply they said that they were not even willing to refund the additional cost paid to upgrade to VIP. They told me that wasn’t possible as the tickets were shown as collected.
Please don’t book if you want a comfy experience with plenty of room. I will make sure I continue to book the light...
