I would give a zero if i could due the lack of unprofessionalism from 2 female staff members and the female manager. I wanted to buy a bottle of mens perfume and was told the systems are rebooting after 10pm as this is usually the normal closing hours but they were open until 11pm for xmas on the Monday 23rd December 2024 when i attended the store. So i waited until systems were back up and running and went back to the perfume counter to buy the bottle of Hugo Boss perfume. The female staff at the counter was ignoring me turning her self away from me walking away as she was on the headset talking to someone and seemed very involved in a conversation without any acknowledgment towards me or even tell me to wait a moment. I waited a few minutes and she was still on the headset talking to somebody. All this time she knew i was waiting to be served. I then asked the other staff member to help me from the other till section and she was too now on the headset talking to someone becoming very distracted from customers waiting to be assisted.
At this point i was thinking who do i speak to, to get some service. The girl eventually acknowledged me and said what i want to buy. I said i just want to buy the perfume but your colleague is too busy on the headset talking so she moved her position to the perfume counter and began to serve me. When i asked her why is the other girl on the headset and ignoring me all this time and not helping she replied “well shes on the call to a customer so how do you expect her to speak to you” in a sarcastic manner!. I didnt expect that sort of response and was felt embarrassed infront of other customers and my wife. She was being very abrupt the way she was talking to me. I politely told her that her colleague could have just simply advised me shes on an important call or get some one else to assist me instead of me feeling like i am being ignored.
I didnt deserve that sort of rude response from her. I then asked if there was a manager on site and she replied “yes”.
i also asked if i can get her first name and she replied “Holly”. While i was about to pay she then burst out in tears and runs away from the counter.
At this point i was left confused. The other female worker who was in a conversation on the headset then comes rushing to the counter and asks what happened and what did i say to her implying i said something bad to her which i absolutely did not. I was completely professional and remained calm when i asked her to speak to a manager.
When the manager arrived i asked why she started crying her response was “she has the right to cry and shes only young and she can cry if she wants”.
I asked the manager if there was something wrong at work to make her get all emotional like that? Because all i said was i want to speak to the manager and took her name.
The manager then replies “she was stressed all day and customers were shouting at her all day” hence why she broke down in tears”
Now knowing how her day went I made it clear at that point that to the manager no customer should shout at staff regardless of the situation.
The manager was also being abrupt and rude in the way she was explaining the situation on how they all had a busy day. I advised the manager that in these situations we need to be composed and do our best to be professional especially to customers who kindly are trying to buy something.
There was no need for sarcasm towards by the staff and no apology was given from the manager as she was only describing how busy the staff were today and how customers were shouting at staff and doing her best justifying her rude behaviour towards me. The manager looked very stressed and over worked and could not handle the business in busy situations.
It seems Superdrug in Trafford Centre is a very toxic place to work and the busy environment in store stresses staff out who then take it out on other customers. This is completely unacceptable and i will never be buying anything from this store in fear of being treated...
Read moreWent to have my nails done at Superdrug beauty salon today . The woman asked me about 3 times what I had done previously , to which I replied biab …but she insisted that I had nail polish and not biab. I then asked her if she can do my nails today to which she replied that I had to wait 20 mins as she was with another customer. Understandably, I waited which was not a problem . When she finished with the other client , she went to another nail technician who was with a customer , and told her ( knowing very well that I could hear her ) , that I didn’t know what I had done etc…..which infuriated me as I have told her so many times . She then came to me and tried to take my nail varnish off from my finger to prove that she was right that it was nail varnish , but obviously it didn’t come off . Then it felt that out of spite , she told me that she can’t do my nails as she hasn’t got the time today . I then asked her why did she make me wait 20 mins if she knew that she wouldn’t be able to do them . There were no apologies …just shrugged her shoulder . I just left so so disappointed . I had to have a word with the manager who apologised on her behalf . But none of them sound genuinely apologetic . It’s a NO NO for me …ZERO PROFESSIONALISM !!! AVOID AT...
Read moreIt should be a crime to use the Aptos font, as it doesn’t meet the Nice behaviour rules of any business system. Using the Aptos font should be against the law. Not acceptable at all when I see it! Use Tenorite or Lexend or Work Sans instead of More cleanliness of your signs! I saw One of your branches and one of your branches named Piccadilly gardens was using Aptos font for the Monitoring poster! This shouldn’t be done in the first place, you could’ve just placed the one you have today instead, so that I cannot draw Fours and Fodr's and say four/fodr anymore! The reason I’m reviewing in this branch is that I already have a review in the Piccadilly branch and cannot make a new one! This Aptos font issue gave me a habit of Drawing and writing fours and I cannot Spend 30-60 minutes of Designing and drawing a big four over a particular store. This is getting ridiculous, folks! If you want to have a good business and make your stores clean then do not use Aptos font I'm being serious, folks!
