My daughters asked to come here so decided to come for a treat. Arrived at the reception area and waited whilst staff ignored us for several minutes. All it takes is a polite greeting to acknowledge customers and to say that they’ll be with you in a moment. But we really had the impression the staff didn’t want to be there and we were an inconvenience to them coming to spend money. Shown to a table and first thing we noticed was the heavily stained red seats which looked like they’d had every dessert spilt on them. Decided to look past that and checked the dessert menu. My daughters had chosen within a few minutes what they would like. It seemed pretty expensive for strawberries and chocolate in plastic cups but it was a treat so didn’t mind paying, assuming the service would match the price…
Another few minutes later the waitress was seating other customers a few tables away us so I signalled we were ready to order but she told us someone else would come to take our order. After another 20 minutes we were still waiting despite seeing the other waitress coming and going to tables around us.
At this point we’d all had enough so we agreed to give up waiting and go somewhere else. Walked out and I was going to explain why but couldn’t see either of the two waitresses anywhere at the tables nor the till or reception area.
Shame, the desserts are probably nice if you can actually order them and give them your money. Really let down by poorly trained /...
Read moreAttended here on a friday evening. It was fairly quiet and we were seated straight away. We asked to sit in a booth but were told "THAT'S NOT REALLY FOR TWO PEOPLE". Ok fine, except they were two booths of two people in sight. We were offered to sit in a dark and dingy corner with damaged flooring and no lighting to which I refused and we were sat elsewhere.
We ordered two drinks, one was a watered down soft drink and the other a Mango Milkshake which was lovely.
I also ordered french toast. I waited 20 minutes for this and when it came it was made incorrectly, I asked for it to be rectified which I was told would be 5 minutes.
15 minutes later I asked what was going on and I was told "THERE HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH WRONG ORDERS ON THE GRIDDLE, ANOTHER 5 MINUTES PLEASE".
I waited 5 minutes and still no food. I asked to speak to a manager who came over unapologetic and said "WHAT HAVE YOU ORDERED?"
I then explained the story to which he said "SORRY IT'S ON THE HOUSE"... still no food!!!
The toast came, stiff, dense and unprepared. It was terrible. The manager then brought out some free chocolate strawberries but at this point I was totally over it. Disgusting service and awful meal. Just go elsewhere and don't give them your hard earned money or precious time. I will never be back to this...
Read moreThis was our first visit and we had high expectations of this place but unfortunately the service was a major letdown. We got served by a member of staff who definitely needed more training.We were first told to order at the till, then the staff member took my partner from the till back to the table and took the order there. After 25 mins we noticed that people who came after us were getting their desserts before us. My partner went to enquire and was told by the same staff member that food was on its way. We then had one of the 2 desserts brought over. After another 5 minutes the staff member came over to say our order hadn’t actually gone through. If this was the case then why was 1 dessert delivered? My partner began explaining the situation to the manager and the young staff member tried denying that he took my partner from the till to the seats to take the order! It took 40 minutes in total to get 2 desserts and a cappuccino. Once we had finished and about to leave, the same staff member then came over with a cappuccino saying its from our order. A very bizarre experience. The desserts however were nice as was the manager, Ashraf-which is why the 2 stars. However, given the prices I would expect a better experience. You get better service...
