What a nightmare. Food came out quickly and our kids meal looked yummy however when own main came out (a £50 seafood sharing platter) we were instantly disappointed as the portion size was just a large plate for one, we received one tentacle of octopus and 5 prawns (along with the chips, hummus, chips etc) which for £50 is a bit of a joke. Anyway we got past this and started to tuck in when we found the prawns hadn't been cleaned and still had the poo tracks. We called over a waiter who grabbed someone from the kitchen to come take a look, his response "that's how the head chef does it". Im not talking about small black lines, these are big prawns and the sh*t literally spread all over the prawn when we tried to clean up ourselves. We moved on after spending time cleaning and wiping our £50 prawns with napkins. Our 3 year old leaned over our platter to grab a chip and was then burnt by the kebab stick which when tested was scolding hot and no one had warned us, we moved on again as we aren't complainers and already complained once. Half way through our meal we still hadn't received our drinks. We reminded them in which they apologised and bought myself and my husbands drinks, some time later we had to remind them AGAIN for them to bring my daughters drink. At this point a waiter who I imagine was a manager or shift manager apologised a few times after hearing about all this mess and gave us the meal for free, he was lovely and completely empathetic to the situation, we were out for a birthday meal and honestly it was horrific in quality in food and service (apart from the nice guy who sorted us out). Won't go again unfortunately and would advise anyone I know...

For the record, the 2 stars is for the Hummus and flat bread alone… the rest I would rate a 1 star at best.

For a couple who have a toddler, getting parent time is a rare occasion with work & toddler commitments, this evening has been a bit of a bitter dining experience.

We firstly obliged with the 30 minutes wait time and made a booking upon being told, so we went for a mooch around. Came back and ordered 2 cosmopolitans which sat on the bar for 5 minutes minimum whilst staff (young staff) stood around and chatted.

After receiving our drinks we ordered our food, which in all honesty was pretty good, the lamb wrap was really nice.

So that side of the experience was good.

However when asking for our bill, I asked the waitress if I can get staff centre discount, to which she just said yes, and then disappeared… only to show up at the back of the restaurant and have her break, clearly no hand over to management or another budding staff member.

After waiting 10 minutes to get any staff to notice (with clear and obvious head movement, looking at staff directly), I decided to walk up to the Barman, who was a nice guy with a cracking beard to see if he can get someone to help. (He did whilst pausing his bar close down, which having worked behind a bar myself, is annoying at best).

To which we finally were able to pay with a young gent in a checked shirt (young).

Overall, a poor evening by standards (I respect it’s only just opened, but maybe take a leaf out of Bournemouths branch, which left us wanting more, and we were thrilled to see one open up in the Trafford centre, only to be let down)

Sorry, not normally one for bad reviews, but criticism is needed...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Service from Sal!

We had such a great time at The Real Greek in the Trafford Centre, and a big part of that was thanks to Sal from Somalia! He was so kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit.

When we accidentally broke a glass, he was there in seconds — calm, professional, and smiling the whole time. You could tell he really cares about keeping guests comfortable. He even surprised us with some delicious desserts afterwards, which made the whole experience even better.

It’s people like Sal who make dining out special — he’s an absolute credit to the team. Thank you, Sal, for your amazing service and kindness!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Real Greek in the Trafford Centre, and it was all thanks to Aga! From the moment we sat down, her friendly smile and warm energy made us feel genuinely welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, knew the menu inside out, and gave great recommendations — especially on the meze options and desserts.

Aga went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, checking in just at the right moments and making sure our table had everything we needed. It’s rare these days to meet someone who truly cares about creating a great dining experience, but Aga does exactly that with a natural, personal touch.

The food was fresh and delicious (the souvlaki was spot-on!), but Aga’s kindness and professionalism really made the visit memorable. If you’re visiting The Real Greek at the Trafford Centre, ask for Aga — she’ll make your evening 10...

Was looking for somewhere different to have lunch on a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre, and decided to try The Real Greek! Was welcomed by a very cheery and friendly Greek waiter and seated at one of the outside tables straight away. I'm not all that familiar with Greek food, but this waiter was really helpful explaining the various dishes to me and checking that I had no food allergies. Very quick service and some nice extras, like the jug of water you get with your meal. The lunchtime menu has plenty to offer, including souvlaki wraps and also a vegan menu. Ordered a Greek plate: a loukaniko beef and pork sausage skewer with Mediterranean rice, flatbread, Greek salad and tzatziki (a mild yogurt and cucumber dip). The sausage was very flavoursome if a bit on the chewy side, and the salad was fresh and tasty. Good portions too. The Makedonikos red wine was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Finished with portokalopita orange cake topped with vanilla ice-cream - a delicious treat and not too heavy - and a Greek coffee. Altogether a very satisfying meal, though not cheap. The atmosphere was vibrant and friendly. Two ladies on the next table told me they were frequent visitors and were working their way through the entire menu. A good recommendation! Would happily return to try more Greek dishes myself.

Came today for a meal with my daughter Dimitra . We are use to this food from family living in Greece. We found the dolmades cold and tasteless. The greek salad was ok but not a great size for the price. Then to my surprise at the end I was given the bill and the waiter had the card machine with him. I glanced but didn't have my glasses on. When I looked after I had been charged £ 4.73 optional service charge! You don't get asked about this and was sneakily put onnthe bottom of the bill. This is ridiculous with the price they charge for the food. I always leave a tip for the young waiter/ waitress but this is very wrong that you don't get the option. If i knew this I would have immediately told them to take it off and I can actually leave a tip for my waiter! I will be not recommending you and will be taking this further because I don't see how this is right when you are not asking people do they want this on their bill!!!

Awful experience and very rude staff. Waited almost an hour for a few wraps we ordered, they came cold, the portions were absolutely tiny. Asked the waitress about a few things on the menu and she didnt know what any of those dishes were and what they are made of. Waited 25 minutes for 3 beers and water. One of the meals didn’t come at all so one of my friends was left hungry, after we told the waitress about it she tried arguing that he did in fact got it just to later admit she was wrong, we were offered no apology. Asked for water was told „sorry all the jugs in the wash you cant have any”, the manager was an asbolute nightmare offered no applogy, no explanation and was arrogant. Can’t blame the waitresses as they are no bad soldiers only bad generals so the manager is to blame. Lack of training, kitchen understaffed, tiny portions, no customer service skills. Extremely dissapointing experience
