Aaron's Rent To Own — Local services in Abilene

I have done business with both locations here in Abilene, for many years. And I am not very satisfied with this location at all. Their customer service needs much improvement. I decided to return a refrigerator and called them when they first opened, to arrange time for pickup. I asked for after 5pm due to my work schedule, which still required me to leave work a half hour early. At 2pm a staff member called me asking about a payment, I informed him that I had spoken to the manager earlier and made arrangements for it to be picked up. Another staff member called me at 6:30pm and asked if it had been picked up yet. When I told him no, he said he was going to check the schedule and put me on hold. He came back and informed me that they were on their way. It is now almost 8pm and still no Aaron's truck to be seen. I missed a half hour of work, rescheduled our dinner, rearranged furniture to make room for them and they never showed up, called, nothing. I have never been very happy with this location, and after today, I will not be doing business...

If I could give the customer service verification department a zero I would give them one. I am livid right now. I ordered a recliner online and paid for it and the next 2 days I received a call from the verification department asking me questions about my EX HUSBAND, what street he had lived on, we have been divorced for over 22 years and he passed away 3 years ago. How am I supposed to know what street he lived on? I haven’t seen him since we were divorced. We had no reasons to keep up with each other! I received a email stating since I didnt know the questions about him, I was denied and couldn’t reapply for another 60 days!! Went into store on North First in Abilene Texas on Thursday July3, 2025. spoke to a manager about my washer and was guaranteed a loaner washer on Saturday July 5,2025. The paperwork also had “Call before delivery “. Now it is 3:30 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025, no call. I called store and was told that delivery person came by but did not call. The delivery person informed manager that he was already off work and there was nothing he could do about it. I have never had this problem with this one store. I am completely upset and very disappointed. I hope that there is some sort of solution and that the delivery person gets in to some trouble. If paperwork says call first than do it.
