Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Abilene

Sonic is hit or miss. I have had really great car hops and friendly staff, but I have also had very unpleasant experiences there as well. One of my first jobs was at a very busy Sonic so I know exactly how hard that job can be, but I had the rudest and unprofessional person take my order and then deliver it the other day. It was slower, but still not dead by any means. You could tell she didn’t really understand how to type in what I was ordering so instead of asking just typed in something kind of close to what I wanted and hoped for the best. When they brought it out, I said it wasn’t right and instead of apologizing she rolled her eyes and was very rude. they took it back and brought out another wrong thing, but it was another guy helping me so I just ended up taking whatever it was and leaving. I know mistakes happen and I am 100% ok with that and will even tip and everything still, but being hateful in the situation is not cool. I still go to sonic all the time and my experience doesn’t make me go there any less because let’s face it, the happy hour is a sweet deal and slushes are a perfect (not messy) treat for my kids while...

Since the previous issues I had in the past with the shakes not being well blended missing sauce packs etc... I decided to give them a second chance and try them again... This time it was for breakfast.. So far... ^.^... I can tell you the quality of there BREAKFAST is up to Sonic standards and above mine and timeliness has gotten way better than the previous times. My food was brought out I was informed there were sauce packets in the bag honestly I recited to myself "Wow...what do we have here we might be having those weekend Sonic specials again!!" When I was backing out... Lunch is amazing! I was looking at my wife like is this the same place... ?? Wow What happened...big turn around... Keep in mind just because one place sucked for awhile doesn't mean it will be bad forever I personally spoke with the owner after a few issues with my orders some totaling $50-$60 dollars back in December and he informed me he was dealing with staff issues.. but it was being taken care of... Which is why I decided to give this place a try again...yeah it might not be McDonald's but so far I'm loving it!!...

Sonic was the first place to stop that when I pulled into Abilene Texas so I could get them to come and pick me up from there to get to their house and my mother's and my step dad's and Abilene Texas because I didn't know exactly where I was going to get to their house I stopped there to get me something to drink and so I could use the phone to call them but their service was okay I mean they were very very busy and I know how Sonic is I used to work there 57 years ago 15 55 years ago so that I don't know it was 13 years ago when I worked there are 13 years old when I worked there anyway I know how Sonic is it was late and it was on a Friday night on Tuesday night they were busy they had and it was right downtown but Abilene anyway they took care of me and they let me sit there and tell my family was able to get there to pick me up and the young lady you're working hard their drive they were full they were packed anyway the Sonic was clean and the young ladies and everybody there was working hard so I don't have anything bad to say that again Sonic thank you and God bless each and every...
