Wow... it's truly unfortunate to have to have to cross Glenside Pizza off my order list. After 6-7 years of supporting and ordering from this local business, I have never experienced such rude customer service, especially after getting my order wrong. I called and ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken minus a few veggies that I'm unable to eat. I asked the young girl if she had everything I asked for prior to hanging up - in which the girl abruptly responded "yeah" without repeating back the order. After ending call, I realized that my previous monetary credit wasnt applied to my order. So I called once more and spoke with a another girl to request an applied credit to my order. The 2nd girl was very short with me on the phone, stated "We'll send your order out" and then quickly hung up. When I received my order from a pleasant delivery driver, I opened the container and saw that there was no grilled chicken. I called once more and notified the 2nd girl that I was missing chicken from my order. Instead of apologizing and explaining that it was a simple mistake, she was argumentative and tells me that I didn't order any chicken when I had a family member that was present while I ordered and heard my request. She further stated that I ordered a ceasar salad yet greek salad was written on my receipt. I corrected her and kindly explained that I have always ordered a Greek salad with chicken from there for years. She sarcastically responded, "Well, I'm not familiar with your order history." This was my first experience of rudeness at this place. I'm not sure if they hired new girls to answer the phone, but they definitely require more training in the art of customer service. Read moreI order from here maybe twice monthly. Always enjoy the food. Tonight’s service wasn’t the best. I ordered at 9:02 without knowing the closing time because i didn’t check and my online order went through. I was notified immediately after that because they were taking a customer in the store they didn’t stop the online orders in time and i have to wait three days for a refund. That really sucks. No apology, nothing. I understand the explanation and it was a human error, but there was no offer to compensate me for the error even with an apology. Just oh well, kinda. SMH. It’s disappointing and i just feel like a paying customer should be treated better than this. I got nothing, but am out of $40 for their mistake until it’s rectified. They’ll never get another penny from me. They close at 9:00 PM and I called at 8:35 to place a small order for pickup. The phone is answered with “Glenside Pizza, we’re done taking orders for the night!” TWENTY FIVE MINUTES before close? Unbelievable. Professionalism and customer care are both lost arts these days. I remember when restaurants used to stay open until the close time they advertise, EVEN if someone came in right before close.
