I LOVE this store! It’s so eclectic and has something for anyone who loves vintage, offbeat, handmade, kitschy decor etc. ** I must say, I witnessed the scene that took place in a previous 3 star review. What the reviewer fails to mention is that he never walked up to the counter to let anyone know he was ready to checkout. You could tell the staff member was in shock when he THREW down the records and walked out in a huff (he left that part of his review out) She immediately apologized obviously confused. She was visibly shaken. The negative review would have you believe she laughed at him, but that was not the case. It was clearly a nervous laugh from the shock of a grown man throwing records and storming out. I felt so bad for her. I’ve been in there many times because they get new and unique items all the time. I have never seen any of the staff be anything but very nice. Since I was there for that unfortunate encounter I just had to say something. This shop is a gem! So cool and so friendly and not pretentious at all....
Read moreI went here for the first time today and I was honestly blown away. I go to college in Lancaster, PA where quirky local artist and vintage stores are more abundant. Around here, you usually gotta drive out a bit to get to a trinket store.
Our downtown area is small so never did I imagine that Absecon would ever get a store this cool. I love how inclusive it is as it made me realize that this was the first place in Absecon I’ve seen where I could buy something pride related.
I also attended the vintage fair, which was a blast. I’ve always seen the potential in this town and always hoped that we could start having regular markets like I have in Lancaster. It was so nice to see so many people downtown and I think this is just the thing Absecon needs for more inclusive community building.
I will definitely be coming back here and will be telling my friends about this. I think this has the potential to start a trend of better community building in our once...
Read more3rd time to this shop. Its neat and has some nostalgic items, which makes it fun. They have some records that appear to be on consignment that aren't the regular hipster fodder. My last visit I found some records that I wanted to buy. After my wife looked around I waited for the owner to check us out. She was busy with another customer. The thing is she went on and on about things to do on a trip to NYC. It was OK until a point, where we standing there for a time that went past normal. I looked at my wife and decided to leave. I put the records back and then finally heard, "I'm sorry" from the owner and then laughter. Well, I'm sorry for Pat and the sale he missed because the owner (I Hope) couldn't ring someone up while conversing. To think we went there in Friday traffic to feel disappointed. Oh well sorry you didn't want us to patronize your shop. Not...
