The breakfast was OK. But the experience I had with the manager after was unbelievable!! After talking to her and having a nice conversation about my anniversary which was that day. I told her I wanted to get a couple of the pastries for a snack back at our hotel, for later that night. My wife and I picked which ones we wanted. I said great wrap them up and put them in the box and we get going I said. She said sorry we don't wrap them? I said no you don't understand we are going to leave them in the car all day and would like them wrapped to stay fresh for later. Great thanks.....nope we don't wrap them. I said we'll your muffins are wrapped and other things are wrapped? Well we don't wrap those...I said ok I'll wrap them could I get some plastic wrap....or foil then. Nope! It's too expensive she said. I said ok I'll give you an extra $2 then. Great....nope. I said ok I'll give you an extra $5 like a tip. Great just get me something to wrap them so there fresh, plastic wrap , foil, even bag or something....nope! SO I SAID CAN I HAVE YOUR OWNERS NUMBER...NOPE HES IN GREECE. I SAID I WILL NEVER EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. The manager said ok have a nice day....now I know when we got there 1/2 the restaurant was closed up. And the other 1/2 , 2 people eating in it at 8am! It's not the food it's the miserable manager that has ruined this...
Read moreI wanna first say, Google has the times for this place as closing @3pm, however I was rudely informed they were closed as I was eating my food at 2:05. They should really update their business hours if they are gonna be rude about it.
Also the food was decent, My omelette was good however the meat had a yellow tinge to it for the bacon and the sausage, both seem under refrigerated and undercooked.
Which would be no big deal because i was gonna have it removed from the bill so no reason to make a bigger fuss, however when I asked for it to be taken off as it did not look appetizing, I got a nasty attitude from the server who reluctantly took off the bacon and not the sausage(without informing me, I noticed after looking over the "revised" receipt)
When I informed the cashier of the sausage not being taken off I also got met with an attitude and they only took off half of the sausage from the bill because I took a bite from it, which let me know I did not like it, hence why I asked for it to be taken off.
Horrible customer service from the staff, i understand the servers are not the kitchen but they did not have to be rude and deceitful with the bill and they could've at least let me know they were closing at 2 if I...
Read moreA classic Greek Diner! Great spot for that post AC breakfast as you trek back north or to the airport. Your wallet may be emptier from ACs slots and tables, but this diner will make sure your belly is FULL, and they won't take you to the cleaner$. Large portions, breakfast any time, and bottomless cups of coffee - a dying but much appreciated art. Service was good. Efficient and polite (though don't expect a lot of chic-chat or for someone to call you "honey" here, just give them your order bro, they got tables.)
The place was visually stimulating with images of greek gods and parthenons throughout. Enjoy it without irony, its what greek diners are all about. Best is the pastries. Something about a warm cheese danish before your stack of pancakes and eggs that just puts Zeus' thunderbolt right though your hangover and sends it to Hades. This isn't for stuck up "foodies" or folks looking for michelin stars: this is for folks with sore feet from walking or dancing all night, have already burned their calories, and want to take a short vacation from their fasting diets and Instagram gym poses and just want to sit down at a great example of Jersey Diner fair and Chow.
