The ice cream is good. Other than that...
The chicken baskets are a joke. I ordered 2 baskets, 1 with fries, 1 with onion rings. There were maybe 10 fries in the box, and there were a total of 3 onion rings in the other box. The chicken was dry and mostly breading. Of course they do not have Texas toast or cream gravy.
The owner is also very rude. I had a coupon for buy 1 Blizzard, get 1 for 99 cents. I tried to order 2 large Blizzards. He told me it only works up to medium. I told him it said that nowhere on the coupon, and his response was "that's our policy", very rudely. When he handed me my ice cream, he decided that he wanted to continue to argue about it, even though I had let it drop. I told him that he was making up his own rules, and he was very customer unfriendly. Even from a business perspective, it makes no sense. From a medium to a large, there is a $1.20 difference. So I would have paid him an extra $1.20 for 2 Blizzards to go from a medium to a large. There's no way that there is a cost difference to him of greater than 60 cents each. He could have made more profit and made a customer happy instead of wanting to start an argument.
On free ice cream cone day, he was asking for a $1 donation for a "children's charity". There was no signage about what charity this would be, and he provided no details. There's no telling where that money was going.
There is a Rita's across the street. Do yourself a favor and go there instead.
Edit: I see that DQ customer service responded. I did reach out to them prior to this review. They replied to me and said they'd send my feedback to the franchise owner. I did not hear back from him, but I didn't expect to, and there's really nothing he could say to make me want to patronize his...
Read moreI was attended by a middle aged lady on April 21 around 2pm who in a shrewd condescending voice half heartedly explained the difference between the sizes of an ice cream cone. Although I was agitated, I decided to proceed with my next order (mobile code) which was a small shake ($2). I requested a Strawberry Banana shake which she denied since it was strictly one flavor which I obliged so I ordered a Strawberry shake. Although I showed her my code on my phone, she wanted to see the phone again to verify the size. Once she places the shake on the counter, she charges me $7.xx which I questioned. When I questioned the charges, she alleges I asked for extra toppings. After I refused to pay for the order, her defense is that she claims to been working there for 47 years so she's in the right. I don't know if you're the owner or just an employer but if I wanted extra toppings, #1)why would you want to see the phone again which is perplexing and #2) I'm sure you've seen that mobile code countless of time. Alas, I walked away with nothing but a sour taste in my mouth having deliberately driven 20 min to that location. Fess up to your mistake especially in todays society with...
