Poor experience. Do not go here.

I wanted to audit mobile ordering experience. I placed an order via mobile and arrived at the drive thru 5 min later. I gave my name and was told to pull forward. There were two cars ahead of me. When I got to the window, he didn’t know who I was or what I ordered.

He said they hadn’t started making it and I’d have to wait 4 min for it to be made. I was told to pull around to the parking lot. After waiting over 10 min, I went inside to check if he had forgotten. The same worker asked me what I wanted to order, clearly not remembering the prior interaction 10 min prior. I reminded him and then he asked me what I ordered.

It’s worth noting that there was no one else in the restaurant at the time. ie. It was not at all busy. Mistakes happen for everyone, but this was not caused by high customer volume.

Just DoorDashed 12 sweet and spicy wings with the mango lemonade, fries and potato’s. The wings slapped me in the lips with the absolute BEST sauce and breading. The crispness of the wings were perfection, I haven’t had Popeyes in YEEEARS!!!! Whoever reading this review know that whenever I think of Popeyes, my mouth will water like a faucet until I get my lips wrapped around one of those perfectly crispy little chicken wing buddies dipped in the blackened ranch sauce. Ask for 4 because it’ll be gone on the second wing it’s so damn delicious. They need a golden buzzer on google reviews; Popeyes would be my golden buzzer. Before the wings arrive though you are going to want to have extra paper towels on hand. “Napkins don’t cut it” because it’s an experience. Once they hit your lips you won’t be able to stop. Thought I would try using the app again. I placed a big order at 3:30pm and it said delivery would be at 4:14pm. I checked the status around 4pm and it says 4:38pm. Shortly thereafter I got a text saying that the order was cancelled. I called the restaurant and they said it would be delivered. I called DoorDash and they said it was canceled, driver backed out. I called the store again and they said it was on its way. Then DoorDash said they were going to remake the order but wouldn't be here until 5:30pm. I canceled my order and used UberEats at the Lombard restaurant, which is closer and the order would be delivered in 10 minutes. I will not use the Popeyes App again...
