Harbor Freight — Local services in Aiken County

On any other visit we have made to Harbor Freight, I would rate customer service a 5 as they have always been very helpful with great personalities and have been very knowledgeable with the products. This has been one of the many reasons we shop there often on a weekly sometimes multiple times a week for not only our personal needs but business needs also. With that being said, this review is based on our experience today. I hope Management sees this review and addresses the experience we had today as we walked out not making the purchase for an item that was a higher $ item Harbor Freight carries because of the rudeness of the cashier. We had to pick up an item last minute unexpectedly and knowing the store was going to close in a few minutes, we hurried in and picked up the one item needed and headed directly to the cashier as she was announcing it was time to come to the front to check out for closing. As we approached the counter, the cashier was obviously not happy with anyone wanting to make a purchase and rudely stated “you will have to go to the other aisle because she likes to get off work too”. Her tone was harsh, the facial expression she was giving was uninviting and was just plain rude. We as customers had not done anything wrong to receive such rude behavior and I don’t like the feeling of someone being ugly towards myself or my husband when we was being curtious of the store hours and was only coming to them because that is where we did all of our business up...

Everything in the store is priced perfect for me anyway.I must say that it will make you spend more than you would ordinarily. I haven't been there without spending 80 to 100 dollars .I know your gonna say that's not a lot of coin ,I shop there sometimes 3 times a month for items I might need down the road .Im shopping this week for a larger tool shed lol .If you shop there you'll see.i wanna say the crew there are great to,everything's in order always.Just an update,the Aiken store a real disappointment, I ask where they would have 5/32 round files as the associate ran past I ask where they might be she says isle two bottom shelf.After looking with two other.Well it's been awhile since my first visit a few updates to bring the 5 star down.Not the chain is bad but this store welcomes you by following you and wanting to help you move along.i ask for a round 5/32 file .i was told it was on a bottom shelf from sand paper.after looking every inch in that store I ask my store guide ill call her the sneaky mad woman.she barked out they didn't sell any.and returned to following me around .i was still pretty mad about store clerk tailing me so I report it to there corporate store. I don’t have any pictures to add, but I did want to say that this was my first visit to Harbor Freight, and the lady at check out was super sweet. I did not get her name, but she was an older dark-skinned lady, and she was amazing. She showed me how to sign up for coupons and find them in my phone. She also added me in their system to get my email updates. The Store was super clean and well organized. The only thing I would add that may be improved upon would be that I was there for 30 minutes yet no one approached me. It probably would not have taken much to see that this was not my typical store, so I would’ve liked to have a bit of guidance on the things I was looking for. I would return.
