Is a bit of a drive from Augusta where I was working this month. Distance wise it doesn't seem like it's that far away, but the speed limits are all around 40 mpg. ||Anyway I got to the hotel and pulled up to the front. There was a small gathering of people smoking out front, just happened to be employees lol. I went inside to check in and it took awhile before someone came around the corner and said hello. It of course was one of the smokers from out front. ||She checked me in fairly quickly. I looked at the room number on the key sleeve and it said 102. Not happy as I don't like to stay on the first floor. She said "sorry that's all we got". Interesting because my room featured two queen beds and I would've figured it would be more valuable for them to put me in a room with one bed. What was also interesting was there were maybe a half dozen cars in the parking lot, so the hotel was not completely booked when I checked in, but I digress.||Room was at the end of the hallway next to the outside door (not safe). Also had a large blower in the hallway trying to dry out the carpet. Smelled horrific. Got set up in my room. Did have plenty of lighting, no tv remote so I had to go fetch that :(. I say fetch it because the front desk refused to answer the phone, guessing they were out for a smoke. The bathroom was cramped and tiny. The shower leaked all over the floor, I about slipped and fell down on multiple occasions as the towel I put down did not soak up all the water. One morning I awoke to find that someone had propped open the outside door with a floor mat overnight. Again not safe. Did not give me peace of mind staying there. When I went to work for the day I hauled all of my valuables out of the room and hid them in the car. Not ideal to say the least. I think I will ask my company to put me in a home rental the next time I stay...
Read moreThe location is great with a lot of options for food within walking distance. Has the potential to be a great place to stay, recently remodeled which is obvious. However tiles in the bathroom were not installed correctly and were loose. The shower floor wasn't clean and had black spots in the creases, looked like mold. Other than that the room was great. Nice and roomy only complaint is they do not offer coffee pots in the room. Only option for coffee is a single cup grind/brew in the lobby. As for the staff, there was a young lady that checked me in that was very nice and welcoming. Then we had ms Cindy. Had requested an early check in when I booked. Unfortunately my trip took longer than expected and I didn't get in as early as expected. Which turned out to be a good thing. I arrived just before 3pm. Ms Cindy informed me that she had not gotten her housekeeping list and had to check the status of my room. About 20 minutes later she finally came over to inform me that it would be another 15 mins before my room was ready. Almost 4 she comes back to tell me my room is ready. I go up thinking I'm finally going to be able to get to sleep. Nope, there were a couple housekeepers in the next room carrying on LOUDLY. By the way there are roaches in the...
Read moreWe recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel with multiple family members, where we were subjected to disrespect. Tabitha facilitated our check-in and was exceptional. She graciously offered to check us in an hour early, which we greatly appreciated. However, upon arriving at our room, we encountered an issue with the conjoining room, as the occupants were excessively loud. We returned to the front desk to request a late check-out and were initially informed by two women, including Tabitha, that it was acceptable. Regrettably, Cindi abruptly contradicted this, stating it was not possible, and did so with a dismissive demeanor. Following this experience, we have made the decision to refrain from patronizing this establishment in the future. When we contacted the hotel, we were informed that the General Manager had attempted to call us multiple times, but the calls were directed to voicemail without any messages being left. This lack of follow-through is appalling. Furthermore, another family member had a disturbing encounter when a housekeeper entered her room while she was exiting the shower. We advise others to exercise caution when...
