Roses Discount Store — Local services in Aiken County

There are two good places for bargain-hunters at Kalmia Plaza. The first is Rose's, a sort of discount department store. The other is Ollie's closeout oriented store that used to have much better prices.

Roses has surprising deals on men's clothing and I would assume that women's clothing is similarly priced. This is a good place to get decent clothes at a very good price. They have all the other things that you might expect some of which are pretty good quality and very reasonably priced.

Ollie's has been in Aiken for about six or seven years. When they first opened they had some fabulous deals. I bought about a dozen rolls of various colored duct tape for $0.99 a roll. Today however they are pretty good with their prices although they seem to keep prices rising bringing them in line with some of the regular stores...

While picking up household cleaning supplies, cashier had problems completing return and called "Miss Janice," apparently, the manager or CSM on shift for the evening. This person walks up on her cell phone while having a personal conversation on speaker phone. We stood and waited nearly 10 minutes waiting, thinking she was going to end her phone conversation - this lady continued to talk. She then asked, "somebody call me?" While looking at us as if we were wrong for looking at her. She was called 3 times over the loudspeaker in the store, worst customer...
