Dollar Tree — Local services in Airway Heights

I went in for the first time in a few years and I was in awe of how much stuff they carry now! I’ll admit, I was bitter about the change of price from $1.00 to $1.25, so I didn’t go in for a while. After going in today though to check for an item I’ve been looking everywhere for (an ultra slim mascara brush) I googled who else has it and, low and behold! It was there!!! A mascara I had previously purchased at Ulta for $9.00 was at the Dollar Tree! And for $1.25 no less?!?! They also had a bunch of cool school supplies, like composition notebooks with a variety of colors and designs. My kid loves those notebooks, so I’m stoked I didn’t have to pay $3.00+ for just 1 somewhere else. Also, despite them being busy and only 1 employee at the register (who was also running back and forth helping customers find things AND greeting every person who walked in), the staff was SUPER nice and welcoming! She seemed genuinely happy to be there, which you don’t see often in retail/customer services. I sincerely hope that she is getting paid a decent wage and has benefits, because she was doing the job of easily 3 employees and I’m sure she has to deal with rude customers all day. So, please! If the owner sees this, give your staff raises! You don’t want to lose employees like that, and if they are doing the workload of 3 employees then they deserve the paycheck of 3 employees. If I had a company I would absolutely poach your staff, because they’re awesome! Anyways, so yeah, 10/10...

I hadn't been to a Dollar Tree or 99cent anything in over ten years. I've been overspending at Walmart. The quality & selection has improved. I spent about 60 bucks but I'm a sucker for arts & crafts & office supplies. If you go they also have name brand air fresheners. I picked up poster board, Scotch tape, highlighters, Sharpies, Command hooks, planters & soil, tons of candy, Rockstar energy drinks, energy shots, scrapbook supplies, dog & cat treats, dry erase board & markers, chalk board, marbles, glass bottles. Super pleased with my haul & I didn't even make it to the other side of the store! My cart was full so I figured it was time to leave. Lol. I'm excited to go back! It was not a good experience at all, one employee was talking to her friend for a long time and had a line form all the way to the cookies. So when my mom voiced her opinion about the problem they instantly went to call the police and when we said she had a mental problem and calling the cops on us because we voiced our opinion on the fact was very wrong in their part. You do not call the police if there is a mentally ill person in the store who just voiced their opinion. They are very rude and do not care. Even got asked if they weren't allowed to talk while working, well if you did your job and actually kept the line going then nobody will voice an opinion.
