
Me and my girlfriend have been coming to this place for years and also been referring them to friends and family and we were always satisfied with the customer service and preparations until today. My girlfriend came in to inquire about getting flowers prepared in advance for our wedding. The moment she told the owner when our wedding date is, she was taken aback and told my girlfriend in a rude way that she canât prepare flowers for our wedding because itâs the week of valentines. She looked like she was about to reconsider when my girlfriend assured her that it is a small wedding and will be only needing 3 bouquets. When my girlfriend told her how much our budget is, she then started refusing again. Stated that our budget was too âlowâ and how she has a lot of preparations to do for the upcoming valentine week. My girlfriend then asked what is the minimum price that sheâs willing to accept/offer so we could all meet each other halfway, her reply was âno no thereâs no minimum priceâ ... if that was the case, if there wasnât a âminimum priceâ then why refuse the service? She then told my girlfriend to buy flowers from Carrs or Fred Meyers and to just âdo it herselfâ If we wanted to âdo it ourselvesâ then we wouldnât even bother stopping by in the first place. I understand that valentines week is such a hectic week for a florist, itâs still not enough of an excuse to refuse a service and be rude to a loyal customer. I initially settled on Hummels based on their competitive prices (which themselves merit a high rating), but it is their honestly incredible service that earns them five stars. I was looking for flowers of a certain color, and couldn't find them anywhere, so I joking referred to my inability in the note attached to my Hummels order. They next day, they called and let me know that they did, in fact, have the color I was looking for, and changed the order no problem, and even suggested a corresponding change in the note. The only thing that bothered us is that the price of the bouquet was negotiated with the owner to reflect the extra cost of stem dying a rose -- we received a spray died rose. We went in to ask about this but the employee that made the bouquet said that there is no price difference. We couldn't talk to the owner because she was on vacation. We felt like we got cheated. On the invoice, it just shows $120 for the bouquet but doesn't break it down to show how that amount was derived.
