Replacement Glass — Local services in Alaska

I am very happy to give a raving review of Replacement Glass. I have been searching for several yrs for some crank handles for the existing windows from a house built in 1974. I have spent probably a couple of hundred dollars buying useless handles that have not worked through the last 2 yrs as some went missing from my windows. I was referred to Fridgid North and they referred me to Replacement Glass as they do not carry them themselves.

The people at Replacement Glass were very professional and was very patient as I explained what I was looking for. They had several handles and just by the picture I drew of my mechanism they knew exactly which handle I needed. I was totally impressed. I bought one and took it home to insure that it was the right handle and LOW AND BEHOLD. It was exactly like the ones I needed. Even the same numbers which I had not even thought to look at or bring my handle to have matched

I am so impressed and also I am in need of having some windows updated and replaced so I will be using them in the future

Worst service ever! Measuring the window is the only thing that went well. I had to call the office to ask about my replacement schedule. Then after waiting for an hour after the time that I was told was scheduled I called the office again because nobody showed up. I then find out they cancelled our window! Why? Because of lack of payment! IF THEY HAD ASKED FOR CC#, CASH, CHECK, any form of payment (my first born) I would have GLADLY given it to them! I needed my window replaced by Sunday for an Open House! Now they tell me it cannot be done until MONDAY! Worst service ever and to top it off they tell me their office staff has worked with them for years and told me they needed payment? The same office staff that failed to call me to inform me of schedule time? To what gain would I not pay them? All they can do for me is a big fat nothing. If you are thinking about doing business with this company DON'T they do not care about...

Look no further than Replacement Glass. The timely quote I received from their pleasant Customer Service Representative, Orpha, came in more reasonable than their competitions, and once on-site, their service technician, Brian, effortlessly and also with pleasant disposition, replaced multiple windows in my home. But more impressively...Brian displayed determination and used his experience and ingenuity to install custom weather stripping to seal the opening of a 27 year old crank-opening window of which traditional weather stripping is obsolete and no longer available. As I live on upper hillside and in a high wind area, his efforts to completely resolve the problem of wind blowing through that opening were not only impressive…but greatly appreciated. I will never look any further than Replacement Glass for any future glass needs I may have....and neither should...
