The Maintenance are excellent here they fix anything right away for me. My only complaint is homeless hangout in the building at times and that’s a little scary. Also new Management all the time. Also a lot of theft on the property, my packages have been delivered and somebody walks off with them. This is like the This has happened

I’ve been on BCHD since my initial lease signed in January of 2023 with SMLA, which have had numerous residential management companies that have been in “charge” since signing my first lease.

I had one residential management company neglect to inform me that at the time of my last BCHD inspection in August of 2024, it needed to be aligned with their “recertification” process in order for me to keep my lease. And the recertification wasn’t complete because of their neglect to inform me that it needed to occur. And they should be having transparent communication with BCHD concerning my tenancy.

On top of all this a new management company took over in August of 2025 and since the transition of new on-site staff including maintenance staff and a new manager. I have been unjustly discriminated, harassed, and threatened against both of these employees of the RMC. First, harassed about putting my dog poop bags in a trash can when there isn’t one or one was never brought to my attention or shown to me, then about closing the dumpster gate when there is no rule about closing them, and I like to have at least one open because it is easier to exit the property with my dogs on the leash. Then he threatened me financially by saying he was going to raise my rent because I am low-income on August 27th, 2025.

Then on September 4th from around 2:50pm to 3:45pm, the community manager tried to intimidate me into signing paperwork in the office that had wrong calculations for “raising” my rent based on my dogs which is legally protected, specifically, by the Fair Housing Act and Section 504 and after the maintenance guy threatened to raise my rent he took my picture with his phone and danced in front of security cameras, claiming his high horse, egotistical authority, victorious against my low income and he is not there to make my living environment better because the money I pay toward rent with fixed income from social security doesn’t pay his paycheck. I’m a degenerate scum in his perspective.

Then the community manager tried to force me into signing a “reasonable accommodation form” to allow my pit bull on property, living with me because they aren’t allowed on property all of a sudden. When no other residential management company has given me any problem about him living with me. She told it’s because they weren’t doing their job. Also, I would like to emphasize the fact that during this appointment on September 4th, 2025 from around 2:45pm to 3:45 pm, the maintenance guy who keeps harassing me and threatening me financially, conveniently happened to be in the office at the desk across from the manager during the discussion on the amendment to my lease doing nothing other than looking at his phone and who knows what while my back was turned while talking to the manager had absolutely no reason to be in there while financies were being discussed.

I am now currently waiting for a complete police report by APD with camera evidence on both of these incidences, I met with an officer on September 12th around 12:45pm and 1:30pm to extract camera evidence on these dates, my IRPA information on or around September 25th, 2025, Silver Moon Lodge Apartments should have or will receive the letter from my medical doctor in the mail, and I will attach it via online. I will currently be sending this statement via mail to all necessary third party agencies. Then once I have compiled all my information, I will be...

If I could give negative stars I would. The Silver Moon Lodge is terrible!!! DO NOT CONSIDER MOVING HERE!!!! Here are some reasons to deter you from moving in: The doors sometimes do not lock letting dangerous individuals and drug users in at any time of the night. Homeless people sleep in the stairways and hallways (although they usually dont bother anybody) On 7/22/2025 at 7:30pm the power went out throughout the whole 3rd floor. I called the emergency maintenance number multiple times and was sent to voicemail. It is now 1:00 in the morning and still no answer or repairs have been made I have put in multiple maintenance requests to repair my hot water heater as it has been stinking up the whole apartment and doesn't heat water at all. They have ignored me for months and initially told me that they were prioritizing fixing the pool. Said pool has been shut down by the city of ABQ as it isn't up to code. In May of 2025 my a/c went out. I called maintenance right away and they came over to fix it. Took 3 days for them to find the right part before they came and "fixed" it. Was back to being broke that evening and took another 2 days for them to actually fix it. I have lived here for 3 years and the apartment complex has changed owners every single year. New owners will raise the rent, then refuse to even attempt to make this place any better. Apartment complex is situated downtown on Central. I cannot tell you how many times I see the police outside my window at all hours of the night. Homicides, car theft, and car wrecks happen FREQUENTLY. I've seen my neighbor get jumped by a group of teens and countless fights happen just outside my window. Forget trying to park on Sunday evening at all. The Sunday cruise happens every week without fail, right below your window. As if the traffic jams aren't bad enough, you have to deal with loud exhausts ripping by EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NIGHT 24/7. Most tenants here are nice, and some of them scare the hell out of you. My girlfriend was stalked and followed by an obsessive tenant whenever she walked her dog outside. It's obvious that management will let anyone stay here and I mean ANYBODY. People will let their dogs bark at all hours of the night as they allow pets here. I've seen dogs roam free in the hallways with no owner in sight. I've seen crazy things here. This place is a slum. If you have children, stay away. If you have family members you love, stay away. If you value your own life, then...

Owners and managers are a joke. The gym is only accessible during office hours, which is whenever the manager wants. The pool was filthy the entire time I lived here. Vagrants rummage through the trash almost everyday, scaring residents. I've had several trespassers and vagrants knock on my door at all hours of the day and night. The security they have is barely ever on premises for more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time, but when you call them, their response time is as bad as APD. The hot water heaters are bare minimum. They barely have enough proper hot water to fill up the bathtubs they have. The rent is always increasing as they try to take advantage of the gentrification. It's a total bait and switch fraud routine. The clubhouse isn't usable to residents at all. I asked them if I could plug in a PS5 that I was buying off Craigslist, I was gonna meet the seller in the lobby, as it seemed public and safe enough. They said "residents aren't allowed to plug devices into the TV, it's a liability". So what's the point of the TV in the clubhouse? 😂 Don't even bother paying for a parking space, the gate is regularly in a state of not working. There are at least 2 residents there that will always ask you for a cigarette or some money if they see you outside, EVERY TIME. When I first moved in, my AC smelled like spray paint, which in my experience means they quickly rattle canned the vents, and possibly the filter to make it look clean. The walls and ceilings are paper thin so you will most likely hear your neighbors fighting or beating their kid. If you're lucky it's just an inconsiderate neighbor who decides to blow a month's rent on a stereo system so they can blast whatever crap music they listen to at all hours of the day and night. You would think it's nice being that close to the Downtown Growers Market... But the convenience isn't worth the hassle of the traffic and noise. Come Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, all the cars use the buildings block as a turn around and traffic backs up by the roundabout. Nothing but super loud cars and motorcycles and radios blasting all weekend. Save your money and stress level, DO NOT LIVE HERE, you will regret...
