Sadly the place has gone down the hole. Customer service is still great and the staff is very helpful, but gone are the club cleaners. The restaurant was also very dirty with very limited options, and there were homeless people actually in there watching TV and hanging out, changing the channels as well. Yep, a public golf course, but that is not expected. Club house also looks very depleted as far as inventory and looks very bare bones. Place needs a serious up lift, but much of our tax monies are used on the new super expensive extravagant homeless shelter, converted from the old hospital. We pay the taxes and they get the facilities now, with upgrades, and our golf course too. Gone are the painted signs of no chipping out front, gone are all the little flags for putting...
Read moreThis is a cool course. It seems to be always very taken care of which is nice to count on when you are spending a little money. I have heard that this is the number 6th most visited municipal course in the nation which kind of makes sense because it is very busy. Best to schedule Tee time ahead if you have a few people with you.
This is one of the few 27 hole courses (possibly more) in town which is cool to be able to choose 9 or 18. if you want to play a quick round the "dam nine" is cool. It's not too hard but has some interesting holes.

Read moreI only visited the very southeast corner east of the John Arthur Carrillo Northeast Area Albuquerque Police Dept Substation, unexpectedly finding two memorial installations: a xeriscape garden dedicated to fallen APD officers; and in the middle of the garden, a stela plaza dedicated to Bernalillo County Public Safety employees (sheriffs, firefighters) fallen in line of duty.
