I had a truly disappointing experience at Ulta Beauty. I had scheduled a hair and makeup appointment for 2 PM to test to see if this service would be good for my upcoming engagement photos. When I arrived, I was told that my stylist would be running late, with an estimated wait time of 30-45 minutes. I let the person running the salon counter know that that was not an issue and I would come back in 30 minutes to check in.
I returned to the salon counter 30 minutes later, only to find that my stylist was still busy with another client, and the salon counter was completely unsupervised. I figured that the 45-minute delay was the more accurate time and left again to wander around Winrock. Then, at 2:36 PM, I received a text notification that my appointment had been canceled.
I went to the counter almost immediately to clarify the situation. The stylist, clearly unaware of what had transpired, told me that she believed I had intended to cancel my appointment because "no one told her I was coming back." I was appalled by this lack of communication and professionalism.
To make matters worse, the stylist explained to me that she had been double-booked, leaving me shocked at the fact that no one at Ulta Beauty had caught this glaring scheduling error, especially since my appointment had been scheduled nearly three weeks in advance.
She then offered to rebook me for 3 PM. However, at that point, it was abundantly clear that Ulta Beauty had grossly mishandled their scheduling and time management. I couldn't trust them to provide me with quality service, especially if they were running nearly an hour behind schedule.
I am so glad that I had not booked them to do my makeup for my engagement photos; otherwise, I would have been in serious trouble.
Based on the complete disregard for my time, I have no intention of ever returning to Ulta Beauty. I strongly advise others to reconsider using their makeup and hair services, as this establishment has proven itself to be unreliable and unprofessional.    Read moreThe staff is EXTREMELY RUDE! I went the first time to buy a foundation and I told the girl I have dry skin she basically only gave me two options: Naked foundation an bye bye foundation. I told her the Naked foundation I didnât like and she was not having it so she took me to the are where the bye bye foundation was and pretty much said âwell thatâs all we have for dry skin so let me know if you need anythingâ and she left; she didnât even ask if she could match me or anything. Today I went back to get a mascara and I wanted to see if someone could recommend another foundation... first she looked like I was bugging her and in a very rude way she told me to sit on the chair... I told her I got the bye bye in tan and it made me look lighter and in pictures you can see itâs not my skin tone because you can see the cool tone coming out. I have dry skin and she said they had the bye bye powder. I told her that powders make the dryness more visible and I guess she didnât like that so she got the liquid in âtanâ and applied on my face and i told her again that it has a pink undertone and Iâm a âwarmâ undertone. She told me no joke! â it looks fine thatâs more for your skin tone, i donât know what you are talking about or seeing because it looks fine to me soâ. The other sales person next to her told her that he could see what I was saying and told her to get the next shade after that and she looked like very upset but ended up getting it and again she put that on my face and it kinda looked a little better so I told her I might get it and bring the other back. I accidentally took her mirror and when I took it back to her she was talking about me to her coworker! I just left the mirror and products on the table.    Read moreLeaving Ultra right now and I am beyond shocked and rattled! The cashier MARIA at checkout copped a huge attitude when I asked her if they carry a particular item! Took her minutes just to respond to me. Then she acted like I asked some crazy question like if they sell tires or something! I asked about an eyeliner? When she finally answered me she gave a snotty reply!! Escalating the situation and acting like some kind of diva!! Finally I had to get the manager!! Manager was very nice handled the transaction and apologized, but it really didnât need to go to that level! No need to be patronizing and disrespectful. Very, very poor customer service at this Ulta. HoweverâŚ.Service at the Ulta on Paseo Del Norte, phenomenal! but this particular Ulta on Louisiana at uptown mall is absolutely horrible The reason I had to ask the cashier is because I couldnât find anyone to help me while shopping? I Certainly regret shopping here! This was a really bad experience made very worse at checkout. Also, when I mentioned I was going to call corporate she said call whoever you want and put her hand over her badge, but I already saw Her name was Maria at least thatâs what was on her badge. I just could not believe how rude this cashier was plus it held the lineup which was already really long! I donât think customers should have to leave feeling this terrible especially after spending quite a bit of money there! again, the only person that was really nice was the manager Which is the only reason I didnât walk out.
