On September 29,2019 I purchased an appliance that required a install ,I pay for install and delivery ,on 10/08/2019 .I received the appliance and was told by installers that the could do the install because I needed a water kit 12 feet long , I needed to call home Depot to reschedule the install ,so I went to the store in person asked for the store manager was told the manager is out sick so assistant manager she came out and we went over the entire situation and told me no worries we will make this right ok . 10/09/2019 received a call from this 3rd party professional installers we in the area we will like to send them there to install the appliance ,ok I left the job meet them by the house only to hear that they don't have the right part again that I need to call the store and get the right parts and rescheduled , Instead of calling the store I called this 3rd party installers and try to work out ,ok they told no worries we will fix this .On 10/11/2019. Another Wonderboy came to the house without the right parts and told me he could not do the install because the dishwasher was install before the cabinets 🤣 and left .Now I'm 😠 so call the store asked for the store manager and again I'm told that the store manager is out sick wow manager at home Depot get sick a lot 🤧 must be all the dust in the store ??? , Here is another assistant manager who again promised me that they want to make this right so again he said I'm sending our guy from the store who is and excellent employee that knows about pluming and he will install this appliance for you he will be there Monday at 4.00 pm please give us an opportunity to fix this for you ok fine I agree to give them another chance . On 10/14/2019 their so call employee store guy show up an 1 1/2 later tell me he is only there to take pictures and get back to the store manager which manager I asked the one that has been sick for the past 2 weeks ,all the guy said I'm just here to access the situation and take pictures they will get back to you Since then I have appliance sitting in my garage that I paid for but cannot use I don't a good reason as to why they can't do the install but I keep hearing we want to make this better ??? .I have been a customer for sometime now for home Depot and I have seen their decline in customer service and other services and is a shame .folks be careful if you decide to buy an appliance from home Depot and you any kind of install do not take the install package and pay for it .it's a 3rd party the use and they really did suck . Read moreMy father-in-law and I went to rent a walk-behind saw to cut our driveway with at 11am on Sunday, August 11th 2024. Right off the bat their tool technician was very rude when we asked about the blades being an extra $49.99 since the Easton location we typically go to never charged us for blades, but thankfully we have our own blade.
We noticed the first saw had oil on it when we got back home, and it wouldn't start. Turns the carburetor was FULL of oil. No employee thought to start the machine before we took it, but granted, we didn't either.
We call and are told to bring it back (keep in mind this home depot is a 50 mile drive from us). I took the saw back at around 1:50pm and am given another one which they started in the store for us along with a 30% discount only after I asked and was offered 20% at first. Thankfully, their front desk person/cashier Alex was kind enough to help me load. He was kind throughout the entire situation, but I cannot say the same for everyone else.
I take the second saw home, and it starts up fine. HOWEVER, the second we put tension on it the blade would stop spinning. It turns out that the allen key-way and the set screws were both missing! This meant that nothing was holding the blade in place, so the motor would spin but the blade would not the second there's any tension on it. I call again and am told by the same tool technician that nothing was wrong with it before we left, so my father-in-law decided to take it back himself. So far we had driven a total of 200 miles already for this saw.
My father-in-law takes the saw back and demonstrates what is wrong. The assistant department manager finally gets involved and doesn't even offer my father-in-law anything concrete as recompense. Instead, he gives him his card and says "I'll give you a really good deal on something the next time you come in." By this point my father-in-law is exhausted, I'm exhausted, and we're both done with the entire situation. This is not an acceptable way to deal with this situation.
I understand that mistakes happen, but the combination of both saws nothing being functions, the 6 hours of driving, and the attitude of the employees really made is upset. I've never written a review like this before, but I feel that it is warrented in this situation. I've attached pictures to my review of both the first and second saw we received. All in all way came away with a day wasted, at least $60 of gas used, and 5 inches of driveway cut as a result of dealing...
Read moreHorrible experience at Homedepot carpet department, avoid using them at all costs.
Purchased a carpet and install through homedepot which cost approximately 5k for the total job. The installers they used severely damaged my new carpet causing permanent damage. When trying to get the situation fixed homedepot was very reluctant to provide any help.
Ultimately the installers agreed they did a poor job and had to fix the carpet on our stairs but refused to fix the rest of the carpet blaming the manufacturer. Homedepot then submitted a claim which was denied saying we were at fault and we caused the damaged with zero proof even though the installers already agreed they did a poor job and had to redo the stairs because of it.
This was a horrible and unprofessional experience. I am still battling with homedepot, specifically assistant manager Steve who seems to believe there is nothing he or homedepot can do, even though they provided the installers and all the services. They are refusing to assist in rectifying this situation and simply passing it off as “my loss”.
There is no reason way I should have large cuts in my carpet with fibers coming loose on new carpet. Please avoid this company when it comes to carpet installation.
UPDATE: customer care team reached out as soon as I posted this however, they have not followed up or reached back out to me. I have attempted communication with Homedepot at this Allentown PA location numerous times and different ways with no resolution or response.
Better Business Bureau complaint will unfortunately be the next step if I don’t hear back soon. I will...
