On July 11th I went to this store. I was refused service because I was not waring a mask. I explained that I am a Disabled Vet and cannot ware a mask because of an incident that occurred while I was Active. Even though I did not have to, I told the employee what my disability was and cause to show I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. The employee asked over the radio and the manager told her no. The response was regardless of the reason, no mask no service because they are following the mandate set forth by the SEMINOLE COUNTY EXECUTIVE ORDER. That it was not VS policy but that of the mandate. I was even asked for a medical card as proof. Who issues those? I said I have my VA disability card but it will not say what my disability is.
I said there was exemptions in the order for those with existing health conditions or disabilities that would cause more harm than good. I was told it only exempted 2 years and under. No others are exempted.
This is from the latest SEMINOLE COUNTY EXECUTIVE ORDER.
WHO IS EXEMPTED FROM WEARING A MASK OR FACE COVERING? ⢠Persons under the age of 2 years;
READ THIS NEXT PART CAREFULLY
⢠Persons for whom a Face Covering would cause impairment due to an existing health condition or disability;
PLEASE READ THE ABOVE AGAIN IF YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND IT THE FIRST TIME.
⢠Persons working in a business or profession who are not interacting with the public and who are able to maintain social distancing from co-workers; ⢠Persons working in, or patrons of, a business or profession where use of a Face Covering would prevent them from performing the duties or receiving the services of the business or profession; ⢠Persons exercising, while maintaining social distancing; ⢠Persons eating or drinking; ⢠Public safety, fire, and other life safety and health care personnel, as their personal protective equipment requirements will be governed by their respective agencies; and ⢠Persons communicating with someone who is hearing-impaired and must see the mouth of someone wearing a Face Covering in order to communicate.
I advised them that they are wrong and that I would be calling the ADA to file a complaint. I stepped aside. Got the number and called the ADA. The ADA was having technical difficulties and was closed till Monday. I called today and they are still down.
I never once raised my voice, was insulting to them or harassing. I remained calm. The Manager did finally come to the entrance to talk to me more about this, but they had already made the decision to not let me in and there was nothing more to say. I left very disappointed with the lack of knowledge and discrimination against this Disabled Vet.
SHAME...
   Read moreNot sure who the ratchet employee was working on Fri 9/8/23 @ around 7pm but daaamn, that girl was rude as hell. She wouldn't let my daughter run back and grab another body spray (10-15 seconds) to do the 2 for $23. We didn't know 1 cost $20 and wanted to take advantage of the latter. We waited 20 min in line to be told we have to go to the end of the line (3 people) and probably another 20 min because she was slow as hell. The guy in front of us shook his head and offered us to go ahead of him & also apologized that she treated us like that. We thanked him and told him we were leaving. Set the body sprays down wherever and left. She yelled loudly in front of multiple people "Have a nice night"!! Never have been treated so poorly by a VS employee or any employee anywhere for that matter. We were just looking at eachother like, "Did that just happen??" We kind of laughed about it later & maybe figured she had some unresolved anger issues..who knows lol. Anyways we went to Sephora..spent a little more money for body sprays but the employees were kind and helpful. Won't be going to that VS location ever again.. just such a weird and...
   Read moreCame here last Saturday AND Sunday lol. LISA IS AMAZING. I haven't gone bra shopping in like a decade and apparently I have been wearing the wrong size this entire time! She was super knowledgeable about all the bras they had and how it should fit us. I've gone to other VS and would ask for fitting advice and always left unsatisfied, still confused and with no purchase. Told her what I was looking for out of a bra and she brought me options to try and was SUPER patient through out the entire process. She truly was invested in getting me sized correctly and not just trying to do a quick sell. I've worked in fine dining for over 5 years (15 yrs of hospitality) so I know exceptional service when I experience it! Purchased 3 bras!
There was another fitting room attendant who was also assisted me when Lisa had to leave but I didn't catch her name. I appreciate her along with the patient cashier who helped me with my complicated situation on Sunday. Thank you for making a typically stressful bra fitting/buying experience so much better...
