Ahh..everybody in town just loves this overpriced little farm store. Never anybody around to to answer questions or actually HELP out on the floor-which is perpetually filthy, but hey their 44lb bags of dogfood are decently priced so weve been going for that -ONLY. Today that changed when the little brunette with glasses at the first cash register closest to the doors didn't want to open her register to trade me a quarter for 2 dimes and nickel LOL. Told me if I would've paid CASH she would have. Well just so happens I was going next door to aldis and forgot a quarter for the carts..didn't think it was a big ask. Maybe store policy? Maybe LAZY? Who knows which it is..none the less that little quarter cost them our weekly buy of dogfood...pretty ignorant not to accommodate a simple request as such, but what do you expect in a society full of businesses that puts NO emphasis on customer service...well that's fine. I'll spend the extra 5bucks in gas to drive to jerseyville to a farm store that VALUES their customers money enough to hit the open button on their 1984 cash register to trade a quarter for 2 dimes and a nickle, whether we pay with plastic or cash. Customer service MATTERS and if I don't get the same kind of service, I MYSELF would give to YOU as one of MY customers,we will never spend another dime in that store. Even through the change shortage of 2020-2022 I was STILL giving my customers change when they asked even when nobody else in town would...and ya know what they ALWAYS came back to OUR store because we were "accomodating". Yup. Its the small things. Enjoy that quarter farm...
Read moreThis place has pretty good sales at times. I went last weekend to look around specifically because they were having a sale. There was a coupon for 15% off of one regular priced item. I grabbed one thing that was not on sale. I checked where it was on the end cap and back in its regular location and both had a regular price listed and not a sale price. I get up to the counter and the lady tells me I can't use the coupon because it's already on sale. Her screen didnt say it was on sale so idk where she got that from. I told her it wasn't on sale, that it was listed as regular price, and rang up as regular price and she didn't care. I bought it anyway but honestly, I probably shouldn't have. I looked at my receipt and even my receipt showed the regular price and that I bought it at regular price. I was in a hurry and the place was extremely busy and packed so I couldn't waste any more time right then to wait in line again to have them correct the mistake. It was annoying that she didn't even care to take the time. She just told me no, it's on sale when it...
Read moreThere were three cashiers and we stepped in line behind the person being closest to being done. A short haired female finished checking out her person looked at us, turned off her light and told us to get into another line. We stepped over to the guys register and he was talking to a girl who wanted change. They continued to have an extended conversation with the short haired female joining in. So we stepped into the third line where the cashier was trying to help a gentleman with a return. We finally asked if one of the three cashiers there could check us out, and the guy said that girl is closed and went back to talking to the other female trying to make change. They short haired female heard us, turned her back and walked away. We set our purchases down and went over to TSC and had an excellent customer service experience. I don't know who the manager is at this store, but if this is how they train their customer service agents to treat customers they might want to look for...
