Funky Cards and Collectables — Local services in Alton

I have never walked into a card shop and instantly felt like a regular customer so quickly as I have with Funky Cards and Collectables. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly every time I've been in the store. I am mainly a Pokémon collector, but am a huge baseball and hockey fan so there is definitely always something to look at and their inventory is being added to so often I feel like there's always something new to look at! You really can't say the same thing for all of the other stores in the area!

Not only all of that but they have been fantastic with my children as well! My son and I will go every other Saturday and he always leaves with a smile on his face and some extra cards in his hands. I have bought multiple "Holy Grail" cards from this store and they are always willing to work with me as long as I bring cash and cards that are currently selling. This is by far one of the fairest shops in the area. The guys are professional, the building is immaculate, and the prices are right. Ive been lucky enough to snag cards from 1954 Jackie Robinsons, to autograph Ken Griffey Jr. rookies. I drive 30 minutes to this store and I'm never disappointed! Had a 1500 dollar card stolen from me and this shop bought it for 500 . I confirmed the card was mine with a PSA cerification number and filed a police report. Owner told me he would hold on to the card and sell it back for the price he paid for it. Alton police department went there and confirmed this as well. He sold the card anyways a day later knowing it was stolen. Guy was laughing about it like a dirtbag when I went in to buy back my card. Place will be shut down in 6 months...
