By Design — Attraction in Alton

It's high time I review this business. Lillian has literally hand-tailored two of my sisters wedding dresses and my own wedding dress. (I bought my dress ten months before my wedding day, turns out I was expecting! Lillian got my into my post-partum dream dress with some extremely clever work!) She has also tailored my husbands dress pants, three of my mother's formal gowns, and almost every single bridesmaid's dress that has come into my family. Her work is incredible, her attitude is cool and professional, visiting her location leaves you feeling fancy and fairytale like. I cannot express how much we love By Design. Now that I live in Seattle, and many of my sisters also live clear across the country, I would not be surprised if we took a trip to Alton for the next formal event we needed help with. Her short notice policy has saved my butt (and covered it) too many times! I called Lillian on mid-week and asked if she could possibly hem 2 pairs of jeans and have them done by Saturday; I thought that was a lot to ask and I was expecting a "no"; but she asked me if i could bring them in that morning and so I did and she had them done later that day; and they were done beautifully! I am totally grateful for the women that work here. Last year my son passed and I went there to see if I could get his favorite leather jacket fixed could not find anyone who done that in this area and although they did not she went out her way to do her best to fix it and it turned out great!!
