As a Paranormal Investigator, I've explored countless haunted sites and spooky museums, but my recent visit to the American Oddities Museum in Alton, Illinois, was an exceptional experience. The museum's collection of peculiar artifacts including an autopsy table and a Frozen Charlotte was impressive. From the moment I walked in, I was fascinated by the carefully curated exhibits, each with its own unique story. The attention to detail in the displays is remarkable, making it easy to get lost in the mysterious tales that surround each item. Tyler’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the paranormal added an extra layer of authenticity and intrigue to my experience. The American Oddities Museum is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in all things paranormal and a love for history. Whether you're a fellow investigator or simply someone with a curiosity for the unusual, this museum offers an unforgettable journey into the unknown. I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to return next year for the Haunted America Conference! Thank you, Troy Taylor, for all you do for the paranormal community!

Wifey wanted to treat me for my 67th birthday and surprise me with a visit to the American Oddities Museum. This place is a kick! We enjoyed every minute. What really made it special was the magic performance by Carlos David. He weaved the story about the Life and times of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his relationship with Harry Houdini among other aspects of his life. It was a great performance and thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed. If you have an opportunity to see Carlos David perform, please don't miss out. The museum in and of itself had some wonderful sights and as you would imagine some very bizarre things. Definitely worth the visit!!!!!

I loved this museum! It had all the creepy and interesting oddities one would expect from a museum with this name, from haunted dolls to true crime relics. It's not huge, but it's dense. If you are in the mood for a spooky experience or are just looking for something to do in the area, I 100% recommend you stop here.

This place is so interesting and cool. It was really neat to finally get in after listening to the owner Troy a Taylor's podcast American Haunting for the last year or so. It's worth the $5 ticket for sure. There is also a small bookstore you can look at as well. I decided to get a second book about NOLA that Troy wrote, and just before we checked out, Troy himself came in. They had a haunted event that night (I highly suggest checking out his events), so he was in getting things ready. He immediately offered to sign my book. I was glad I didn't have to be a fan girl and ask lol. The museum was great, Troy and the other man working were both so welcoming and friendly. I plan to go to one of the events soon. I noticed that some of the events they have start at the museum, and I believe I saw that the museum time is included with at least some of them. ...
