Venus Nails & Spa — Local services in American Fork

This was my first time with my friend who recommended them and at first they impressed me. I was a walk in on Sunday and they got me in quickly with no issue doing dip powder with short tips. However the next day, Monday, the top coat on one of my nails was coming off, which it shouldn't. I went in and they fixed it right away. She tried explaining that I might not have put my nail under the light all the way, yet that's their job to make sure.

Now today, Tuesday, two more top coats of my dip were chipping off. I went in again frustrated since there is no reason I should go in. She decides to fix all the nails so it won't happen again and says it must be the machine. When she is taking it off, chunks of the top coat come off at once and she says it isn't supposed to do that. When I ask for a partial refund since I have had to come back TWICE in the last days, she says no because they fired it when I came in and it was a fluke thing. However, I shouldn't have to come back in the first place because I paid for the job to be done correctly the first time, not the third... And she wanted me to call back if my nails had any problem so they can fix it for future customers. I'm honestly shocked with the reviews this place has. This was the most expensive mani/ pedi I've ever paid for and it's been the worst in quality I've had. Two days ago my gel started lifting. Today (one week since I got it) it's lifted so much it has started to get stuck in my hair. They forgot to put the top coat on one of the design nails so I had to repaint it and put a top coat on it. I don't live close to this place so I can't just stop by so they can fix their mistake. Not to mention their website said the manicure would be $10.00 as an add on service yet I ended up paying $40+ $15 for a design on one nail. Two if we count both hands. After tip I ended up paying over $100 for a mani/pedi and I only gave a tip because they were kind and patient with my 2 year old. I havent gotten a mani/pedi in a long time so idk if this price is what is normal now. What I am more angry about is the quality of the work done. Very poor! Never had gel lift this way before. I am not a nail biter and I dont pick at my gel unless I've had it for a while and it has...

After 5 years of trying to find a good nail salon.. I had given up and started doing my own nails and pedicures at home. It was fine but took the pampering and relaxation out of it. It was a chore. I found this place by accident when looking to get a pedicure.

I am beyond pleased! Best nail salon in Utah county. I have been there at least 6 times. I've brought my daughter twice. I recently had a small problem with some chipping on my polish. Never have I had this issue. I came in for a pedicure today and had my nails fixed too. They were so kind and accommodating.

Every time I've come in, they genuinely care about you as a customer. They are funny and make me laugh. They treat me so kind and like family. I thoroughly enjoy my entire experience. The pedicures are incredible. The best I've ever experienced. The massage is wonderful and a emphasized portion of the pedicure.

You can't go wrong with any of the technicians. They are all talented and amazing at what they do.

Thank you Venus nails for not being like the rest. I can't wait to come back....
