OVERVIEW - 4.5 Came here after our team at work decided this was the place to get Mexican Food, more particularly tacos. LOCATION - 5 They're found along the busy State Street and depending what direction you're coming from depends on how easy it is to get in to the restaurant. PRICE - 5 I found the price reasonable for the quantity of food you receive. PRODUCTS/SERVICES - 4 I ordered the Al Pastor Burrito, and that is what I got (at least I think I did, as we came as a group and there was no differentiating between the three other burritos that were ordered, so it was a matter of guessing after unwrapping the burritos). I think that was my biggest complaint is as a group it was difficult to decide what was what. That being said, the burrito was delicious, and considering my tastebuds are incredibly weak when it comes to things spicy, I'm pleased to report there was nothing spicy in my burrito. POINTERS/PERKS - N/A There probably are some, but I'm not sure what they'd be. EMPLOYEES - 4 Standard quality of employees, just doing their job, didn't seem all that above and beyond. The guy calling out the order numbers would first call out the numbers in English then if no one claimed their order he'd call them out in Spanish.

My BF picked up takeout from here so I didn't actually get to see the inside of the location. Everything was good, nothing revolutionary. The Gringas are very similar to the quesadilla except they're fried. I probably wouldn't have been able to tell a big difference if I were blindfolded. The horchata was tasty, and I'm glad they didn't put any ice in the cup. The salsas (not including the mango) were okay, a little bland. Not too spicy. The mango salsa is CRAZY spicy. I didn't expect that at all, so beware. I saw a lot of (jalapeno?) seeds in there. Plus, everything gets spicier the older it is. The quesadilla was my fave, but like I said, nothing extraordinary. Lots of similar flavors and textures goin' on.

I love traditional authentic tacos, but the gringa style carne Asada tacos were the bomb dot com! Yeah I just 90s complimented those tacos they were so good! Fried cheese on steak on corn tortillas? Did I die and go to heaven? yes! We were just driving around looking for a place to eat and saw this place and said hey tacos sound good! Understatement of the year! Tacos were amazing! The whole place had a nice atmosphere and plenty of places to sit. The food was so good and so cheap! Oh and Thursdays happen to be gringa days so for 2 people we got 8 tacos for $11! I’m pretty sure we robbed this place! I would’ve easily paid more!

Super tasty tacos! Suadero tacos are great!

🌮🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If I could give Tacos Don Joaquin more than five stars, I absolutely would! This place is a hidden gem nestled in American Fork, and let me tell you, their tacos are out of this world.First off, let's talk about their suadero tacos. Oh my goodness, the succulent, tender meat packed into each bite is an absolute delight for the taste buds. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the meat just melts in your mouth. I could honestly eat these tacos every single day and never get tired of them. And then there's the cabeza tacos. Wow. The rich, flavorful beef head meat is something you have to taste to believe. It might sound a bit adventurous, but trust me, once you try it, you'll be hooked. The texture is divine, and the seasoning is on point.I recently brought my Vietnamese friend here for his first taste of authentic Mexican tacos, and let me tell you, he was blown away. He couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were, and now he's just as obsessed with Tacos Don Joaquin as I am.The service here is always top-notch, with friendly staff who are happy to recommend their favorites. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. If you're in the American Fork area and craving some mouthwatering tacos, do yourself a favor and head over to Tacos Don Joaquin. You won't be...

I decided to order online for the purpose of picking up my order in 15 minutes which is what they stated while ordering. When I enter, the lady that was upfront didn’t acknowledge me and I had to get her attention to ask about my order. It wasn’t busy or any reason to not help me. It turns out, my order wasn’t ready. They began making it once I asked her about it. I had to wait another 15 minutes for it. once I got home the burritos weren’t marked as to which is which. Had to open each one of them to know which one it was, very frustrating. The lady had gone away and I was still missing my drinks to my order. When she did appear about 5 minutes later, I had to once again, tell her I’m still waiting on my drinks. She wasn’t so friendly and seemed annoyed with me asking her about my order. Also, one of the burritos I asked for a special request and it wasn’t fulfilled. I don’t understand the purpose of them having the option of special requests if they’re not going to pay attention to them. This will definitely be my last visit to this location. This wasn’t my first bad experience here which is why I’ve come down to a review and advise you to eat...
