I really don't know where to start! I've never been treated like this especially at this restaurant! Olive Garden has been a favorite restaurant for me and my family for many years! I've been to the American fork location a handful of times and never have been treated this way... Me and my son went for lunch on New Year's Day we walked in and immediately got attitude from the waitress who was seating us... I was confused as to why she seemed so upset and disrespectful towards us... I told her my name and seen that she was ready to seat us immediately ! she wouldn't acknowledge me or look at me not once! she just told me and my son too "come" and pointed her finger towards the direction she wanted us to go... I was a little confused🤷 so I just followed her she than sat us at a table in the very, very back corner with the light off !! She turned to us again and pointed with her finger to two separate tables and said "pick your seat there or there?" I said here in the dark? is there maybe a booth we could sit at with a little bit more light? She replied saying no! So then the waiter that would be helping us with our food order came over and I could tell he was immediately in the rush... I explained my frustration about the light and he laughed in my face and told me this is how our restaurant is lighted... Keep in mind Olive Garden is my favorite we at least go three to four times a month I knew that wasn't the case!!! I asked him why we're being treated this way? and he walked away from me with no answer... the manager came over and was super apologetic and super nice but by then I had felt like we were mistreated... I advise that it was a necessary for an apology from him since he had nothing to do with either of the incidents not to mention when I was walking out I could hear both of the two employees giggling and laughing as if me and my son were the problem.... I'm not sure if the two employees were just having a bad day .... however if you're going to pay a restaurant for their services you should be treated in a decent way..this was definitely not good customer service! I have a handful of family members and friends that eat at this location however I am sharing my experience with all of them... Read moreI went here recently with my family to celebrate a birthday party. We called ahead and they said that they did not take reservations, but that when we got there the wait would be about 30 minutes. We went to the location and they confirmed that they would seat us in 30 minutes. We then waited. 30 minutes came and went. Then an hour came and went. We had a lot of little children here and at this time they were very hangry and we were getting frustrated. We then talked with the people at the front and they kept assuring us they would seat us soon. It wasn’t until an hour and a half later that they finally got us seated. While we waited we saw many large groups leave, and saw quite a few large open tables, but they were absolutely set on the table that they wanted to seat us at, and the people there chose to spend hours talking after eating. When we finally sat down they apologized, but then said it wasn’t their fault that it happened, and it is what it is. Completely unsympathetic and extremely frustrating for us. We then ordered our food since all of us were starving at this point. Then they slowly brought out food and somehow forgot 3 entire entrees. It then took them another 30 minutes to bring the food out for those that were forgotten. I understand that things can get crazy, and mistakes happen, but it was mistake after mistake after mistake, and something needs to be adjusted. I also returned home and was throwing up the entire night from food poisoning. It was the cherry on top. I have enjoyed my experience at other Olive Gardens and have never gotten sick before, but this was the only thing I had eaten that evening and could have been the only cause for the food poisoning. Dear Olive Garden,
Charlie deserves all the love, kudos, employee of the year and a pay raise. They have made our experience tremendously amazing! They were kind, patient, highly engaging and provided, hands down, the best experience we have ever had at an Olive Garden!
We waited an hour to be seated and were famished by the time we got to our table. Without being prompted, Charlie had our drinks and breadsticks to us within a couple of minutes. They were cheerful and so patient when we were ordering our food! One of the many things we loved was how they ensured that our little one felt special when ordering his food. They asked him directly what he wanted and assured him that he was picking the best entrée!
We knew that things were busy as it was a Saturday night and there were a few big parties at the American Fork location. Charlie checked in on us regularly and always greeted our table with a smile and a friendly tone. They kept our drinks full and our breadsticks ready! We were amazed at how, even though it was a busy night, Charlie's service remained efficient and phenomenal from start to finish!
Our evening out to Olive Garden was to celebrate our eldest son. They also made him feel extra special by acknowledging our celebration and cheering him on with us! What an amazing person!
We could go on and on about how much we love our experience with Charlie. We have always enjoyed the food at Olive Garden, however, because of Charlie, we absolutely LOVE the American Fork location over any Olive Garden we have ever been to! We will definitely be referring this location to our friends and family and will be back soon and more...
