I brought in a new backpack and several flag patches that I had collected on my travels to have them sewn on the backpack. The gentleman was very kind and helpful. We discussed that the patches would be put on the back, since the front had a lot of buckles, straps and seams. It would be ready 1 day before I was leaving the country again. On the day it was supposed to be done I arrived to pick it up and was told they were just starting on it and to return before closing. Just starting? They had it for 2 weeks. When I picked it up the patches were haphazardly sewn on the wrong side. Uneven, some on the seems, and very messy. I tried to open up one of the pockets and discovered that they had sewn a patch through the layers, sewing the compartments shut. Back in I went. The owner took a razor blade and opened it up. She was quite rude and dismissive of my complaints that this was not what I asked for. Only when I got home did I realize that 3 more patches had been sewn through the compartments, making it unusable. I didn't have time to return and have it fixed. I spent an hour removing every patch from the backpack. My brand new backpack is completely ruined, the patches are damaged and they charged my credit card $60.00. They should be embarrassed to allow things like this to happen. It looked like a child was given the job to do. I would recommend you go anywhere else but to Sew Sweet if you need a job...
Read moreDo not come here if you don’t know how to speak Spanish. I checked the reviews, and called before coming in to get my jumpsuit tailored. The lady on the phone was nice and spoke English, but when I went to pick it up, there was a lady there that could not speak any English. I do know a little bit of Spanish, but it is very limited. When I called to pick up my jumpsuit beforehand, they were closing earlier that day, or closed the day I planned to pick it up. This happened multiple times. It was not only hard to pick up my item, but they did not do a good job on my jumpsuit at all. It is still very loosely fitted around my upper thighs. I could not explain that to her, for she did not understand me. (Could not have it translated, I didn’t have my phone.) The only positive review I can give is they are nice. Nice can only go so far. I would have been more satisfied as a customer if the jumpsuit came out to how I wanted. Unfortunately, this is my first and last time coming here. I wish someone warned me about this. When I looked at all the reviews, there were mostly good ones. This is my warning to you, do...
Read moreMy wedding was about 2 weeks away when I tried my dress on “one last time” and realized I unintentionally lost weight and it was now too loose in the top region! I had called around to a few other tailors but no one else would take me in because it was not enough time. Sew Sweet took on the challenge and seriously saved my dress and probably the whole wedding for that matter! The tailor worked her magic! With such a short amount of time to make alterations she suggested added straps to my open back. She also had to make a few other adjustments and close in my low cut front. I was a little hesitant to add the straps in back but it came out absolutely gorgeous and looked like it was always part of the dress. I had to pick up my dress on the morning of my wedding and I felt so much better in it than I had even when it fit me comfortably before the weight loss. I wish I had all my alterations done there to begin with and if I lived locally, they would be my go to for alterations for the rest of time. Thank...
