Today my car was towed from adjacent parking lot, due to the inadequate parking of the venue, circus and Mexican swap meet planned on this busy weekend. The Russell towing and the Anaheim police dept are working with the homeless and/or scout to locate your car on the weekend and have it towed as soon as you cross the street. The girl at Russell tow, states, "they have ASC schedule and they have people placed in the lot to call for tows, this weekend they had 21 tows at $325. a pop!" My car was not parked in front a fire hydrant, nor on a curve or the red fire curb. I was parked in a business parking lot.Which the buisnesses were closed today. According to the man at towing place, ASC is supposed to provide information for the lot around the corner, right off the freeway that according to Russell towing is "Free" the staff at ASC says "WE ALL NEED TO BE GIVEN THE MAP WITH THE DIRECTIONS TO THE PARKING LOT, if there is no parking for the $20.00 they charge." I have been going to ASC for four years and have never received a map nor direction to find parking, I have put up with the heat, the cold, limited dirty bathrooms, the raising of admission and parking which is beyond for what we already pay for our kids to play sports and what the club receives. I can tell you the price of each lot they go from $8.00 to $25.00. I walked around like many of the others who were towed today in astonishment, my car was in the lot for an hour. Not all day, not overnight. I personally will forward my complaint to the AAU, city of Anaheim, the BBU and the police department. I cannot believe the entrapment and kick back that someone is receiving! I will not buy or endorse either company ever again. Its all about the money! If anyone else received a tow this weekend, please contact me. The girl at the tow place said, "we have the ASC schedule and this is how we make...
Read moreMost people have written bad reviews on ASC, but they don't know the sports center like I do. most of them have only been there once or twice for a tournament. It is true that for a tournament there is not much room for sitting between games, you have to pay for parking and entrance into the center (just like any other place), and they do not let food and drinks inside the center (because it can been dangerous for the players and have a clean floor is important for indoor sports.). You do have the choice to leave your food by the door or leave it in the car and you can eat in either place. On the subject of water. Bottled water is fine and someone said that there was no fountain which is bs. There is a water fountain I myself have made many trips there after drinking all of the water that I brought. It can be tight on a tournament day, but the week days are great! I have volleyball practice there with my team. There is hardly any other groups and the ones that are there are sweet and respectful. There is so much space to work with. The employees are so nice. Someone also said that they did not care about the kids, if they did not care about the kids why would they pay someone to stay out in the parking lot to insure the children that are waiting to be picked up are safe? It is a great place for practice, if it was not do you think the men's and women's Olympic volleyball teams would practice there? I...
Read moreWow, who knew Anaheim had something world class other than Disneyland. No disrespect to the city, some of my favorite restaurants are here. I'm talking about the world's largest indoor sports complex. It's so big you could easily fit a Costco inside. 25 basketball courts is what I come for, but they do have 34 volleyball courts and 9 soccer arenas. It is very open and areas are separated by floor to ceiling netting. I even saw some gymnastic padding for the lyrical ballet. A good amount of seating off court and a few benches between courts. Their concession area sells domestic beers along with the usual snacks, if they are open. They have a pro shop that carries things for the 3 sports. Parking is usually not scarce unless there is an event, but it's an open gym. Apparently there is additional parking near but it really just looks like an airplane hangar from the outside. It's not a gym so don't come expecting to see a 24Hour Fitness on the side, but there is some workout equipment...
