READ IF WANTING TO BOOK A FULL KITCHEN LOFT SUITE. First off, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was overall very great. I bet half of my complaints could be resolved easy with a conversation with staff. But I shouldn’t have to if I’m being honest. We regularly stay in the 3-3.5 star hotel range, that’s our jam so I feel this review is a very fair opinion on reasonable expectations for this level of stay. This review is mostly regarding the loft suite rental…old and dinghy is how I’d describe them. NEGLECTED. Perhaps we got a dud?? But this place was better reviewed than our usual Disney rental and since we needed room for 7 people we tried it out…. Here’s the bad: Two towels in each bathroom (and only get housekeeping every three days), one roll of toilet paper with no extra in bathroom…couch bed was terrible( as one would hopefully assume, no complaint there but it worked for little kids), but the loft king size bed seems like it was original to when the building was built…terribly, terribly uncomfortable. Unhappy the staircase light is bright and you cannot turn off so it’s light up there as you try to sleep on an uncomfortable mattress…the worst of the worst though is there are absolutely no kitchen utensils and normal wares one would expect in a full kitchen rental intended for 8 people. For instance, not a solitary cutting knife, no dish soap, little packets stuck in the salt shaker?!… nor ANY water glasses?!! Wait what?! 4 Stemless wine glasses or tiny hard liquor glasses and four tea cups.. that’s what you get. That’s it. No dish soap. Nor can cook a pizza or anything really in the oven as there wasn’t a single pan to do so (not that you could cut the pizza after cooking it directly on the rack as there wasn’t a knife outside butter knives! Kinda ridiculous. Full kitchen is a farce-it’s only for toast and reheating leftovers in the microwave. I personally wouldn’t stay here again, outside of a decent breakfast they are cutting major corners. For instance, we went to the reading room by front desk but music was so loud in there you cannot read. Complimentary computer didn’t work to print what we wanted to too …looked like it wasn’t touched for a long while. My young son needed to potty…tried both bathrooms there by check in (both brand new and nice looking!)…not a square of toilet paper in either. Not even paper towels to dry hands were stocked in either either. Which begs the question when the last time was it was cleaned?? We’re walkers to the park and this one is just outside walking zone for us. Not the worst rental in the world but you should get more for your Disney...
Read more4 nights here- We leave 4am tomorrow. Main issue— NOISY. BAD noisy. Like, I cannot ever stay here again kind of noisy and want to write this review specifically to warn you since I didn’t read this in other reviews. I plan to inform Costco travel of this too as they may not want to point members to this hotel.
We are in a 1 bedroom ground level and it has been miserable. You hear every step/stomp above you and every time above room flushes the toilet. Strangely you hear no talking or voices. Just stomps and flushes. Disneyland is open until midnight so we had the upstairs family (like, extended— maybe 6-8 of them) stomping around until 1am multiple nights. It’s loud enough to wake you up from a pretty deep slumber.
I used my noise canceling earbuds with white noise/sleep sounds but the way the stomping sound reverberates, it’s like the whole hotel room is shaking and vibrating like an earthquake, entering through your skull bones, not through your eardrum, so there’s no drowning it out! It’s bonkers!
Otherwise, hotel is fine. Great breakfast. Kids loved the amply supplied waffle bar. Nice and clean/warm pool. Room service was a nice surprise! They did a great job turning over the beds on the 3rd day. Enough towels.
Kitchen a little short on supplies but we didn’t cook anyway. Oven heated up a frozen pizza nicely. Beer was kept cold.
Oh one other gripe is the transportation. Expect to walk to Disney. DO NOT RELY OB THE SHUTTLE. The ATM (Anaheim transportation network) is VERY unreliable on the 7/8 line that runs to and from hotel to Disney. It was supposed to come every 20 min per staff and per ATN ap… but we definitely waited 45 min one night at peak leave-Disney time (our youngest two were sleeping and didn’t have ability to walk them). Another night, the bus driver and a customer were about to brawl because bus driver was refusing to go? Just sat there for ages? I don’t know. I missed the big drama. We had paid in advance and had the app and it was a frustrating experience with money and time wasted.
Luckily the walk isn’t bad if able-bodied. Just frustrating to read and plan ahead for transportation and then not get it. We would have built in walking-home energy had we known ATN was so crummy.
So hopefully this review helps. I would not recommend this place even with the lovely breakfast and staff. It’s not their fault the second floor subfloor and support beams are so awful! But it’s the truth and you...
Read moreWe took two parties and stayed in loft suites as we had 12 people. We went in January, stayed 11 days, and though the facilities suited us well, prices were high then. Also see important notes re: Safety/theft below. I agree with what other people have said about the resort fee. I was confused about that because it says everywhere the parking is included with your room, breakfast is included,… But it’s not really included if there’s a resort fee on top of room price. The room layout and kitchen suited us well and we did a lot of home-cooked meals to save money, and were able to make sandwiches and what not to take into the parks. As others have mentioned, it is very loud. The windows are very flimsy, and there are a lot of street racers and emergency services nearby with sirens going at night, and general traffic noise. The walk was totally manageable with our group. Our youngest child in the party was 10. If you have younger kids the walk to and from at the beginning and end of the day might be a lot. we’ve stayed here in the past and used the bus service, and I would probably recommend a taxi or Uber instead as the buses don’t run as frequently as we would’ve liked, and and in many cases we could’ve walked and gotten where we were going faster than waiting for the bus. It also ends up being quite pricey. If you’re using strollers, you’ll be fine to walk with small kids. The breakfast was very repetitive especially after 11 days it would’ve been nice if they switched it up a bit. There was a lot of variety, but what was there was virtually the same every day. The eggs were made the same, the hashbrowns were the same… The fruit was the same. It would’ve been nice if they could switch up the fruit a little bit given it’s California or maybe smoothie bar? and maybe try to prepare some of the staples and slightly different fashions to account for guests staying a week. Also, service was good on site, but I have been dealing with some post stay issues related to an incident during my stay and am having some issues getting responses and follow up now that we are not on site. That is why my service rating is a little lower. Hotel was good but I am rating it a three verses of four because the cost...
