Iām going to jump right into my full experience with Royal Jewelers starting with the wonderful Paula Leed who I consider a highly exemplified leader who is compassionate, heart warming and sincere.
My overall unforgettable experience at Royal Jewelers started with a out of the blue phone call with Paula who is a in reach yet busy acquaintance whom I personally met while tending bar at the best seafood restaurant of all time over the passed 5 years. (Peteys summertime seafood) Anytime she came in, my momental existence is fulfilled with everlasting memories full of laughter and intuition I personally believe influences the necessary structure to the human nature defined sense we call happiness.
I called her about a girl who I met at Peteyās on a Tuesday of 2/22/22 who I was HEAD OVER HEELS FOR just about right away.. I knew the only person who would understand my ingenuity is Paula. She gave me proper guidance, more or less ambition to orchestrate my future with this young woman named Savannah who I met at the bar Iāve tended at for years. Iām talking phone calls/texts even in-person excursions. Within 5 weeks I knew that I couldnāt possibly see myself with anyone else and Paula of all the people in the world was the only one who sensed my sincerity. As time passed and I worked at full effort at attaining this seemingly enough unattainable woman. I reached out to all sources to becoming the man that this woman not only deserved but has dreamt about her entire life.
Savannah and I went off on a road trip with her family the week after I asked her to marry me at this local bar we were having cocktails at in Kittery, Maine called the Wallingford dram. While we were in Ogunquit we picked out this beautiful 7 carat blue zircon with 3 diamonds on both sides.
I told Paula I needed to find a band for myself so Savannah and I made our trip down to Royal Jewelers to broaden my horizons in the manās bands world. We walk in, we are greeted immediately by ALL OF THE STAFF with smiles and visible preparation of effort brought right to the front door upon our arrival. I asked for Paula Leed, (she knew I was coming š) about 10 minutes later she walks out of her office in a dazzling outfit with nothing but a pure smile.
We dilly-dallied and waltzed right away through the establishment browsing for what My vision was seeking for in my forever wedding band to be, yet nothing Had quite caught my eyes. Just before I finished browsing I stumbled upon this glass case full of absolutely mesmerizing rings and bands. I spotted one band that matched Savannahs blue zircon coloring identically. I asked her to take it out and try it on⦠Paulaās words right away were āShiloh you have amazing taste.ā
The Wellendorf collection ring called āListen to Your Heartā. I put it on intensely glamorized by its very existence and entertaining spinning functions. I stared, configured and yet confused at its sizing as it was only a size 9, I was a 10⦠I pretend Iām a 9 and it didnāt make it over my finger š We talked over how these rings were made and turns out there were no more in my size INTERNATIONALLY.
I asked Paula not just out of desperation but encouragement for her to reach out to the Wellendorf laboratory and request to have it resized upon purchase. I awaited a text from her that day and she got back to me instantly after my departure. (Of course after informing me that she would get back to me over the weekend LOL) Paula made me feel at home and satisfied when I found out they were going to make it for me.
I have been excitingly impatiently awaiting for the arrival of my Wellendorf band for our wedding in Aruba on Veterans Day 11/11. Then through countless efforts of planning to pick it up and orchestrate it appropriately..it was delivered to me VIA PAULA LEED in person on the day of her 30th birthday making it that much more special and I feel honored. I only have 100 characters left for this review Royal Jewelers is the place to go and Paula is the person to see. Not just for Jewelry either, but for anything. š I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe following outlines my experience at Royal Jewelers in Andover. I am very unsatisfied with my experience and will NEVER return. I did not go to Royal Jewelers to purchase jewelry but to have my wedding rings cleaned for free. Letās just say $350 later, 4 weeks without my rings, and I am very, very unhappy.
I went to Royal Jewelers simply because it was the closest jewelry store to my house and I needed my wedding rings cleaned. I walked into Royal Jewelers and the man I spoke to about cleaning my ring started to poke the small side diamonds of my ring with a tool and told me that a couple of the small diamonds were loose. He explained that if I go ahead with the cleaning, it could cause them to become more loose and eventually fall out, so he talked me into getting a quote to see how much it would cost to tighten the channels of the ring to secure the side diamonds. I left my ring at the store and it took a full week to get the quote - $350. I talked to my insurance agent about the risks of not going ahead and having to file a claim later on and decided to go ahead with the service. It took 2 weeks until the ring was ready for pick up.
I picked up my ring and started wearing it again. I couldnāt really tell what was done, except that it looked clean and new. Then, after a day or so I noticed that the ring was CUTTING my skin. Some of the metal of where the jeweler worked was up-turned and rough and literally cutting into my skin of my finger. So, I brought the ring back to the store and spoke to a different man. When I explained what was happening, the salesman was adamant that the jeweler would not have touched the area of the ring that was supposedly cutting me and told me that it must have been like that before I brought it in. WHAT? Iāve been wearing my ring for 2 years and now suddenly, after service at this jeweler, it is cutting into my skin. Obviously, whatever the jeweler did caused it. The salesman brought the ring āaround backā to see if the jeweler could āsmooth it outā while I was there. 10 minutes later he returned my ring and absolutely nothing had changed. I left the store extremely upset and returned the next day with my husband. We spoke to the salesman who originally convinced me to get the service done. He felt how the ring was rough and had me leave it for the week for the jeweler to smooth out the roughness.
It takes another week for the jeweler to āsmooth outā my ring. Not sure if they send the jewelry out or if the jeweler is only part-time, but not sure why it took at least a week each time to perform service or get a quote. I return a week later to pick up my ring and the salesman explains to me how they smoothed down the beads on my ring. Now, I had beads installed on the inside of my ring when I first got it to prevent it from spinning. The beads had no part in what was cutting my skin, I showed the salesman where it was cutting me and you could literally see the burr of metal on the very edge of the inside channel. I had been wearing my rings with the beads for 2 years and no problems. The ring does not appear to be cutting me anymore, but now that the beads were smoothed out, my ring is, of course, spinning again.
Although on their website, the salesman are supposedly ānot commission-basedā, every time I walked into the store I got a feeling like they were.
I will never return to this store and am very unsatisfied with my experience from start to finish. I went in for a routine free cleaning and came out $350 later, 4 weeks without my ring, and now my ring spins...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to Steven Leed (owner/CEO) and Keith, Chris and Howe in the servicing department at Royal Jewelers in Andover. I have a Girard Perregaux automatic watch that I bought in NYC in 2001 that has a lot of nostalgic and sentimental value to me. The watch had damage on the dial - a paint chip/blemish from a prior servicing at another place. I had spent a lot of time searching online and had been able to source a ānew old stockā GP replacement dial that was sent to me from a dealer in Spain. And the watch also needed a full servicing/overhaul because the power reserve was getting quite weak.
In any event, I had initially taken the watch to Shreve, Crump & Low in Boston because they are listed by GP as an authorized Girard Perregaux dealer and service center. I told them I needed a full servicing/overhaul and that when they put the watch back together I wanted them to use the new dial that I had independently sourced. Well, I must say the people at SC&L were extremely nice but they told me they couldnāt work on the watch on site and would have to send it to Switzerland for servicing. They told me it would take 2-3 months just to get an estimate and then another 9 months or so before I would have the watch back. So, my watch would basically be away for about a YEAR! I said āthanks very much but let me think about thisā and brought the watch back home with me.
I live in Reading which is only about 5 miles away from Royal Jewelers in Andover and I had driven by many times but never shopped there or used their services. So I started doing some research online and reading their Google reviews and decided to bring the watch in to see if they could help me. I was first greeted by one of the salespeople out front and I asked her if I could speak with someone in servicing to explain exactly what I needed done with my watch. Steven Leed (owner/CEO) was sitting nearby working on something and must have overheard me because he jumped right up and came over to me and ask me if he could personally help me. He must have noticed that I was a little nervous about handing my watch over to the salesperson. Steven proceeded to listen to my entire story about my watch and what I needed help with. He even took out a sample of an automatic watch movement and explained exactly what they do step by step when they complete an āoverhaulā.
Well, I felt so comfortable leaving my watch with Steven that I couldnāt believe my good fortune that I had āfoundā them. On top of that, I got the watch back in ONE WEEK! Itās got the beautiful new dial that I gave them and I checked it on my Timegrapher and itās running perfectly. Iām so thankful to Steven and the entire service team at Royal Jewelers (Keith, Chris) and especially Howe (this is their in house watchmaker that did all of the great work on my watch). I just wish I had thought to go to Royal Jewelers for my watch servicing needs sooner!
I would highly recommend these guys to anyone with an automatic watch that is looking for servicing. Itās not cheap, but these guys know their stuff and your watch will be in...
