Was told by another eye doctor…that “nothing was wrong and that it was all in my head”.. I avoided going to a doctors ever since due to being gaslit into believing that nothing was actually wrong with my eyes. Six years later, I woke up enough courage to go here hoping to have a semi good experience. When I tell yall I have never been treated with such good care and was actually listen to… I WAS SHOCKED (from my past experience)

Anyways, my results. My eyes were fine (with a small prescription) BUTTT I did have astigmatisms in each eye which was causing me to see doubles, having light sensitivity, seeing “smoke” & “stars”, and overall feeling like I’m straining my eyes just to see close up or far away DAILY. Now that I have a prescription that is properly made for my eyes. I’m seeing things so clearly!! I swear I’m seeing in 4K. It’s remarkable. I will be a returning client and will be recommending others to come here!! The style of glasses are wide as well. The women with the red hair (who helped me with my glasses/ payment) is AMAZING. She made me feel so beautiful, comfortable (I'm very shy), and excited for my glasses. I wish I knew her name but she definitely deserves the acknowledgment for her work & her interaction with...

I wanted to share a wonderful new patient experience with Dr. Mayancela at Andover Optometry. Our appointment was intended to be for an eye exam for new prescription glasses for my dad. However it took a lot longer with unexpected issues discovered during the eye exam, causing Dr. Mayancela to spend additional time with us, (apologies to the patient after us who had to wait a bit longer). But Dr. Mayancela was absolutely amazing, and extremely patient with my dad who was struggling with hearing and understanding the questions. She was very thorough in understanding all our needs and explaining the issues which came up during our visit. She even followed up the next day with further follow up instructions for us. The entire office was extremely friendly, patient, and kind. Highly recommend. (My lesson learnt is that when you feel like you are waiting for a really long time for your turn at a doctor's appointment, you just never know what issues the doctor/patient prior to you is...

Typical money grab spot. Went for ann eye exam for an updated CONTACT prescription and was charged and only given lens fitting prescription. Karen doesn’t like to hear your side of the story and rudely interrupts you everytime you try to speak. Was told I had to pay an extra $100+ for a contacts prescription on top of already paying $140 for that glasses prescription. Horrible at explaining anything. Went on lens direct and put my eye glasses prescription in and ordered through them, after I was bitched at and told “you can’t do that it’s a statewide policy by Karen herself. She said goodluck and hung up the phone. All that for a piece of paper with a few numbers on it.

EDIT: I stand by what I said. My sister went in for her appointment and was able to get my CONTACTS prescription. Suddenly the additional $100 or $60 wasn’t an issue....
