My mom and I discovered Real Deals Ankeny right after Covid-19 had shut down our normal lives in 2020. My Dad had just passed away unexpectedly of a major heart attack and it was so nice to watch Lindsey's live online sales. They were fun and upbeat! I had never met her before but she seemed like the nicest person. Once the store was able to open for in-store shopping again my mom and I came to shop in person. Lindsey and her staff are the kindness and nicest people and just make shopping so fun! They always know our names and ask about our lives. My mom and I are known for our love of shopping and you will be hard pressed to find any owner of a small business nicer than Lindsey! We should know as much as we love to shop! :o) Just two weeks ago we saw Lindsey by chance while we were getting ready to grocery shop in WDM. She gave us both big hugs and caught up with our lives for a few minutes. This is why I love shopping at this store, the compassion she has for others is top notch. If we lived closer to Ankeny we would shop in person even more at Real Deals. I just placed an online order last Thursday for the "sneak peek" of the Collegiate Collection and it arrived the next day! I love all my new IA Hawkeye gear! If you've never been there, it's a most stop when you are in Ankeny! It's the cutest shop with so many fun clothing options, decor and much, much more! Can't wait to stop...

I absolutely love their products and selection. Think Joanna Gaines but more! They have a great range of home decor products that are great for gifting or decorating your own space. They also have a surprisingly cute selection of clothing, not huge but I can usually find a couple of pieces I can’t live without! And the prices are super affordable! The downside is that it has always been super crowded anytime I’ve gone and has a long line for check out. They are also only open 3 days a week and not horribly late either. Beware if shopping for Christmas. They refused to even do a store credit for a gift I bought my sister that didn’t fit her. Refused to work with me on any level and was rude. I had previously spent quite a bit of money there but because of the poor customer service I won’t return. As a local boutique they should give a little on returns that are around the holidays. I had tried to return it earlier in the month but they closed early that weekend when I went to the store. I can find similar items in other stores in Ankeny...
