What a wonderful place for ice cream. The have standard and original flavors. 21 different in all. We were greeted as we entered and everyone was very pleasant. As we were deciding what to order they asked if I liked coffee. Well, yes I do. The Affrigio, probably spelled that wrong, was suggested. It is a serving of ice cream with espresso on top. That piqued my interest. I ordered it with the Daily Grind ice cream. Coffee ice cream with chocolate covered coffee beans. Now add the espresso. BOOM! COFFEE PARADISE. This is what I will probably get again next time. They also offer breakfast on the first Saturday of every month. Waffles with a scoop of ice cream. It's wonderful.
Update Went back for another visit and service was just as happy and friendly. Ice cream makes everyone happy. Unfortunately, my exposure to the Affagato ruined me. I can't seem to try something different. I love it too much. Maybe it's an addiction. I still have 20+ flavors to try and I can't get away from the tasty espresso flavor. Maybe next time, then...
Read moreThis was one of our favorite places to stop at since the day they opened. Aaron, Leslie, and all of the teenagers that have worked here since that day have always been very kind and a pleasure to deal with. The service is always top shelf, and the ice cream has to be the best that we've ever had. My wife, and I, would also walk by this place nearly every evening as part of our huge evening journey around this side of town. About a month ago, before we moved to Alabama, we even made sure to stop in one last time to enjoy the ice cream that will never be matched down here. We were packing and we were busy, but you make time for what's important. Thanks, Aaron, for everything over the last couple of years. Read moreWe have gone to UD many times and recently after dinner we took another visit to Uptown Dairy as the flavors are top notch. We aren't the only ones who like to do this. On a Friday after 6:45 pm, almost straight to 8pm there was a line to the door. The young man behind the counter (I'll call him IOWA) was a young individual had to be still in high-school and he was the only service member on staff we could see. This youngster was patient, efficient, helpful, friendly and made quick work of the line. Several customers were able to get tasters while he helped others. I have not seen this level of responsibility and reliability in that's youth and this guy was handling it with ease! WAY TO GO 'IOWA'. Nice hat...
