Dream Baby Decor — Local services in Annapolis

All I have is WOW. Why spend your money in an establishment that doesn’t value customers or diversity. Kristen was lovely but I would not recommend this shop because depending on who you get depends on how you’re treated especially if you are of color.

Kristen at baby decor was a joy to work with. My daughter and I went looking for a stroller and ended up buying a stroller, car seat, and a few other items, spending close to $1500 that day. She received a message that her items were in and due to Limited storage space, asked if she could pick up her items right away.

Her and her husband went to collect the items, thinking they could get the car seat installed at the same time. My daughter not recalling an appointment was needed to get the car seat installed, talking to her husband, associate on duty interrupts their conversation saying that she is sure that Kristen told her that; needless to say back-and-forth happened between associate and my daughter.

I called the store to get the person‘s name which I know now was associate because I wanted to send an email complaining to the manager. She went on to tell me, associate, that she had already called the manager to let her know that my daughter was ignorant and that they had words. My daughter is a woman of color, educated, former state attorney, and an attorney for the federal government..Hmmm … far from being ignorant. Associate needs to look the definition up.

I sent an email to Amy, the owner I shared my displeasure and I said that xxxx appears to be racist. Below is part of the response I received from Amy (directly copied from the email): “I can assure you that Associate is far from racist and a horrible person and I do not appreciate her being labeled as such, especially since she is employed by a minority.”

I absolutely love this store! My mom and I took a ride out to Annapolis to get some hands-on time with a few different stroller brands that I have been eyeballing. We worked with Seng. he was patient and gave us so much information. He really helped his way the pros and cons of different brands that I had been going back-and-forth with myself over. I didn't make a purchase that day and he didn't make me feel bad about it at all. I feel like he gave me the information I needed to make the right decision about such an investment that when I was ready, I did text him directly to place an order and he was just as friendly and kind. While I did go to look at strollers and car seats, Dream Baby Decor also has cribs, clothes, and a ton of accessories. A little pricier than other stores, but all quality brands and materials.
