I called today with an urgent order from Urgent Care to get a CT scan as soon as possible, as I may potentially have pancreatitis. I was referred to RMC Tyler Center for the scan.
When I called to schedule, they refused to help because I didn’t have a prior authorization (PA) number. I went back to Urgent Care and contacted my insurance, who gave me a specific number for RMC to call in order to obtain the PA.
The first person I spoke with at RMC ignored my request. I called again and was told they still wouldn’t make the call to get the PA. I reiterated that they were the ones instructed to call — as directed by my insurance — and they flat-out refused.

She looked at my like I wasn't supposed to speak to her.There was a sign on the front desk that they were going to lunchand to sign in. There is no where to sign in for the massage. Read moreIt took be 3.5 hours to get what suppose to be an MRI, simple one to last 30 min.,on my lower back. I complete it, they then inform me that they now need to do contrast. It took 2 nurses, 5 stabs to finally get the IV. (I get blood drawn very often, so it wasnt me). I then wait to get what they say will only be 10 min more of the MRI and it's actually 20.
