Donât wash your dog here. Instead, go to Pet Supplies Plus in Winter Park. You can get the dirty dog punch card that gives you 5 washes for $25. So, itâs only 5 bucks a wash and there is no time limit on the wash itself and no expiration on the punch card. So, if you wash your dog 5 times a year, it will only cost you $25 total for the year. That is a fantastic deal. However, at Pet Supermarket, they charge $15-$25 per self-service wash. Pet Supplies Plus provide a nice tiled, elevated bathing tub, a hose with good water pressure, dryer, unlimited towels, shampoo (but you can bring your own), and again there is no time limit for which to wash your sheepdog should you have one or any other dog for that matter. The staff here are very nice and there was a great selection of pet products. I am instantly a huge fan of Pet Supplies Plus! See previous review below re: Pet Supermarket in Apopka:
I was yelled at by the manager and grooming lady in the self-service dog wash today. All was fine until some nerdy looking guy walked in to the other dog washing area. I was washing my sheepdog and minding my own business when all of a sudden, the manager and grooming lady were yelling at me. I was shocked. âNo grooming,â exclaimed the groomer. âYou only get 30 minutes,â exclaimed the manager. All at once. I was merely trimming fur from my dogâs ears during her bath. And sorry, but nowhere does it say that there is a 30 minute limit. I have a sheepdog and it takes a long time to wash and dry her. I have been here enough times and I have always taken as long as I had to without drawing ire from any of the staff. The manager came in again, speaking to me from the from the nerdy guyâs stall, asking if I am going to use the sink leash on my dog. I thought he was trying to tell me I wasnât following the rules again because my dog wasnât hooked up to it. She didnât need to be hooked up since she was cooperating. I said Iâll probably hook her back up to it again. He stood there. I looked at him and said what do you want. Finally, he said the nerdy guy needed the leash. I gladly gave it to him and said hey all you had to do was ask.
I wish this manager would lighten up. He always has a grouchy look on his face. If this pet store were a casino I would be a high roller. I can get pet supplies anywhere, so it would be a good idea to make sure the manager and grooming lady arenât yelling at the customers. I get pet supplies online, next door at Publix, Petsmart, Walmart, etc., so I really donât have to shop at Pet Supermarket. I also do not have to wash my dog there. Thereâs Soapyâs Dog Wash right across the street. My point is that there is just so much competition out there that stores like this one should really show appreciation for their customers, but instead the staff would rather treat their customers badly such as in my...
Read moreI went there to get my dog's nails done for the first time today.I've been unsatisfied with the big chain up the block for a while now. My friend suggested this place because his groomer Marlene had recently got an employed here. The ladies are courteous. I was a walk in. They weren't annoyed if anything they were gracious and courteous.I asked if I could go shopping at the grocery store next door and they said yeah I was fine. So I killed two birds with one stone.I looked at the dogs who were there getting haircuts. Usually big chains like this only know how to shave your dog bald.but one dog was getting shaved and another dog was actually getting a cut & style and looked good. My dog's nails were cut to perfection it's been a long time since my dog's nails were done right. She has back dew claws and those can be difficult. They cut it and they filed it right I am no way going to get scratched they did a good job. And every time I go in the store the staff always inquires to my needs. I want to thank the ladies who cut crickets nails today Y'all did a great job. My only regret is I didn't get the name of the young lady giving the dog a hairstyle cuz I want her to cut my dog's hair. The dog was getting antsy and she was so sweet and patient to the dog at the same time making the dog...
Read moreThe staff here is very friendly and helpful! I wanted to make that clear before I posted this review. I purchased a baby bunny from this location on 8/19/21. I purchased everything they were feeding the bunnies in the store. On 8/20/21 the bunny stopped eating but continued to drink water and urinate. On the morning of 8/21/21 I took the bunny to vet because he was still not eating and no longer interested in water. The vet said he was underweight, dehydrated, and his abdomen was bloated. They put him in their ICU to give him fluids. Xrays showed he had GI disease called ileum. They tried to treat him but he passed away at the vet clinic. I'm sharing this so you dont have to go through what I went through. Buy a rabbit from a breeder with health certificates. I spent 700.00 on a bunny, cage, accessories, and vet bills to not have a bunny 3 days later. Pet supermarket did give me a full refund for the things purchased from them as well as the bunny but my family is traumatized from this...
