I have children over the age of 10 that have outgrown so many things: bikes, costumes, toys, ect. I was referred to Trendy Kids by my neighbor that had a good experience with trading in some of her gently used children's stuff. I called before I started packing things into my vehicle and was given very friendly customer service over the phone. The store is very congested but organized well and the owner is very picky about the quality of the items she chooses to take. I feel that I could have gotten more money for my items if I sold them myself, but I don't like the hassle. I don't need store credit since my kids are older, so the cash payout is less than the store credit offered (but not by much). The items for sale in store are a bit pricey when compared to Buy Buy Baby and the like. To give you an idea of what you get for your stuff, I brought in 8 Halloween costumes in good condition: Mario and Luigi, Full Body Skeleton that glows, Bumble bee, and a Disney Store Merida costume w/the matching shoes to name a few. Got $17. It was that or...
Read moreI have been a faithful customer since this establishment open. I have drop things off to sell, as well as buying things from her store. recently I dropped off a stroller and a brand new Pair of childrenâs Nikes that were still in the box. When she called me to tell me that me things are ready, I explain to her that I had to go out of town for a family emergency and I will not be back for a couple of weeks. I have got in multiple times while she hasnât been there, and one of her associates explained to me that she was unable to find it at the moment. So today I went in just to check up on it and I was going to Buy a few things while I was there. So I asked her if she knew where the shoes were in the stroller was that I brought in. She told me that she donated it because her policy is if itâs not picked up within 24 hours that she donates things that are picked up. This woman legitimately donated my belongings without my permission, which essentially is stealing for me. I will never...
Read moreGuys! We need to support Trendy Kids! It's a local children's thrift shop in the same plaza as Caffe Positano and Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Went today with my MIL and was amazed by the quality of items (many designer!) and selection. There are TONS of baby clothes, all sizes, for like $2.50 and up. Clean, no rips or scuffs, well organized, and adorable! Finally, a place where boys clothes aren't just tractors and dinosaurs! And it goes up to middle grade items, too.
There are sales on everything. Antique toys, Radio flyer wagons, princess gowns, Disney merch, diapers, walkers, bikes, books, you name it! It is like walking into a 90s time capsule with some of the superhero posters, castles, train sets, and lava lamps. Carissa is trying to get more traffic in her store and I truly feel like it only isn't crowded because it isn't widely advertised. Go shop there! Spread the word! Such a hidden gem! And you can sell your used clothing...
